The success of BBA won't be determined by how well it adheres to Web3 principles, but by how fun and engaging the experience/community is. If we can create an ecosystem that anyone can join, while also offering special benefits to NFT holders, we'll have solved our dilemma in the best possible way. And maybe, we'll have created a model that other Web3 projects can learn from as they face their growing pains.

A clear response to the current state of BBA: 🟢 The App is done 🟢 The Rewards are done 🟢 The Arenas are done 🟢 The Season Schedule (battle announcements, rewards reveals, win/elimination, etc ) is done. 🛑The biggest hold-up is Artwork. -- Without graphics of AlphaBots going head-to-head, badass victory animations, or exciting reward reveals it's all just numbers. Kills, Points, Damage. Who gives a fuck if it doesn't MEAN anything? What does a Kill LOOK like. What does a Damaged AlphaBot LOOK like. I no longer have the artist who was going to show those things. And if you think I should have just hired a new animator and kept it pushing, you have never worked in animation. If you were here when we were on fire you saw the quantity and quality of content we were releasing daily. An Animated Web series, 20,000+ of the nicest NFT's in the entire niche, and misc artwork posts that got THOUSANDS of people excited. All from ONE of the most talented 3D Artists working right now. Not a team, one man. You can't just replace someone like that easily nor could you do it with the budget I'm working with. -- But the artwork isn't the only issue, I'm not innocent in all of this.. When building something you care about, it's hard to settle for "good enough." You keep tweaking, redesigning, adding new features. You push deadlines because you hate everything you've done so far. @zenM0nk can attest to the number of times I wanted to add new functionality because I just felt like it was missing something instead of just rolling with what we have for now and launch this thing. I overthought myself into a hole. The key now is to focus on shipping something. It doesn't have to be perfect. It just has to be enough to get people using it and iterate from there. -- A lot of you have been seeing the content I've been putting out recently. I have poured a lot of hours into learning 3D and using the models I inherited. This new skill paired with my development skillset will open the door for more exciting dev opportunities within BBA and the Society as a whole. Keep an eye out for new artwork as I continue to show you the new face of @AlphabotSociety 🤖
