DraftKings has been sued for allegedly selling NFTs as unregistered securities and operating an unregistered securities exchange.

We will see more of these NFT-styled lawsuits filed given the amount of $ lost by purchasers. No one seemed to care when they were cashing in!

Today’s order in the Friel v. Dapper Labs matter – which the Court described as a “close call” – only denied our motion to dismiss the complaint at the case's pleading stage. The judge did not conclude the plaintiffs were right, and it's not a final ruling on the case's merits.

Hermes won its trademark infringement lawsuit vs. creator of the MetaBirkins NFT project.

The jury awarded Hermes $133k in damages and found that the NFTs aren't protected under the 1st Amendment.

I figured this was in the bag for Hermes. What about that Nike v. StockX case..

OpenSea, in a new court filing, has asked the court to find that it doesn't have a duty to protect users from phishing scams aimed at stealing #NFTs.

It argues that it is merely a marketplace and there is no special relationship between it and its users.
