Return is a “Not-for-profit” funded by the public. They made €100m in year one.

This money stays on their balance sheet. It doesn’t go back to the State.

But €100m isn’t enough. They wanted tax exemptions too.

So using your money they hired a Fine Gael councillor to go and lobby his Fine Gael colleague who was Minister for State.

Both the councillor & Minister also paid entirely by you.

Throughout this chain of events Not a single extra euro in value was generated for the State.

No innovation,
No entrepreneurship
Just leeching & looting of the taxpayer.

DID YOU KNOW Ireland has 10 times the average number of data centres per capita compared to every other EU country except Germany? Did you know that Data centres in Ireland USE MORE electricity than ALL households combined? (Source CSO). Did you know that they are projected to use between 26% and 30% of all electricity in Ireland this year? (By comparison it is around 2% to 4% in other countries). Did you know that you pay 45% more for electricity than any other EU citizen outside of Ireland? Did you know these centres are why you are being pressured to cut your consumption and only use electricity at "non peak" times? (Tip: do not get a "smart metre", as it can be used to control your consumption forcibly in the future).

Did you know data centres are linked to causing health issues for those in close proximity to them? Did you know that, in paying for their electricity, we are essentially paying for AI to replace us? (these centres are needed to power AI technology).

Did you know the average size is 20,000 square metres? Did you know that these data centres use all our "sustainable wind energy" and that the mega turbines near people's homes are only for corporate benefit? Which they don't pay for? You've been sold the idea that sustainable energy wind turbines would LOWER electricity costs, but this has NOT been the case. It has been the opposite.

Do you know so many people have been removed from their homes to build them and the people who live near them are experiencing health issues due to noise and other factors?

Did you know the average mid-large centre uses 100 to 120 million litres of water per year also? Hyper scale campuses need 600 million litres a year and it is roughly 300,000 litres per day for mid sized campuses. This is mostly used for cooling on hot summer days...is this why the skies look as they do?).

Did you know that Ireland is on course to become one massive data centre due to the demands of ever growing AI technology and usage? Essentially for all interest and purposes AI will replace humans in many respects. Facebook (Meta) laid off several hundred employees last week. But not before using those employees to train AI to replace them. Did you know that the virus like expansion of data centres underscores a lie that is going unchallenged? The notion of climate change.

These centres use up so much non sustainable energy as well as sustainable energy. So once again...don't get that flight to Spain or drive your petrol or diesel car as you could destroy the planet. But nevermind all those data centres...

This is why YOUR bills are unaffordable. This is WHY 300,000 families and individuals are in electricity arrears. Why are we paying for huge multinationals who make billions and produce nothing?
Why is the government allowing this? (because they work for them, not us).

We are being screwed a thousand ways to Sunday and back.

Fine Gael councillor was hired by Re-Turn to lobby a Fine Gael Minister to remove 23% VAT on the unclaimed bottles!!

The councillor previously worked for the PR company Teneo whose client is ReTurn.

ReTurn is sitting on €100m after just one year but they’re still not happy. They wanted tax exemptions on top.

The tragic death of Alex Coughlan raises so many questions. When Ashling Murphy was murdered, the country was rightly outraged. The media led with the story for days, highlighting the horrific reality that an innocent young woman had been killed in broad daylight. Politicians queued up to condemn the murder, and rightly so.
When Yves Sakila died last Friday following an incident on Dublin’s Henry Street, many of the usual politicians were immediately outraged and turned it into a political and cultural football, calling it a racist attack before any investigation had concluded. One senator even irresponsibly used the word “murder”. Again, it dominated headlines for days, and politicians are still discussing it while we await the Garda investigation.
Yet when it comes to the tragic death of Alex Coughlan, we don’t see the same level of outrage. The same politicians appear silent, the news coverage has been minimal, and there seems to be far less public attention, despite the circumstances being equally cruel and tragic.

Two men die in the same city. The response couldn’t look more different.

One case dominates headlines, sparks political statements, vigils, protests and international discussion. The other passes with barely more than local coverage and scattered online comments.

Naturally, people begin asking why.

It creates the awareness that some stories are elevated because they support a wider narrative — about racism, society, or institutions — while others are quietly forgotten.

And when people notice that imbalance, trust starts to erode and the awakening begins.

Not every event is framed the same way. Not every victim receives equal public sympathy or media focus. Increasingly, people feel the news is doing more than reporting facts, it’s shaping which stories matter….. but to whom…. and for what outcome?

Sinéad O’Sullivan is becoming one of the most important voices in Ireland.

Her most recent essay “I is for Immigration” is superb.

But what fascinates me is how quickly her message has crossed into the mainstream.

She is now a regular in Irish Times pieces, David McWilliams podcasts and seems to have been somewhat accepted by “the Left”.

Establishment audiences are now suddenly engaging with points that were dismissed outright as “far right”.

And to be clear, I’m delighted. 😀

It’s everything we’ve been talking about on X for years.

But what’s most impressive is O’Sullivan’s willingness to raise the alarm on the scale and speed of immigration from India. 🇮🇳

She makes the uncomfortable point that the middle class are already feeling competition for housing, healthcare, schools etc.

She stresses that the new EU/India trade deal will make things a lot worse. That our English speaking/US tech scene is a magnate for Indian migrants in the EU.

But how is she able to bring these arguments to mainstream without being outcasted ?

Maybe it’s depth of research?
Maybe it’s her accent or mannerisms?Maybe it’s because she frames immigration within the broader failure of Irish state capacity?

Either way it feels like an adult has finally been allowed into the room.

What this headline tells you is that 'the economy' is not an 'Irish' economy - and not only because the jobs being created are by overseas multinationals. The economy is fundamentally not for Irish people. It is now overwhelmingly for non-Irish people.

Let this be very valuable lesson and learning curve for everyone: the PSC is and always was a digital ID precursor. How they handled that (compromising personal data and effectively forcing people to have a card to received social welfare payments or medical cards etc) is a STRONG INDICATION Of what digital ID will be like.

Except digital ID will be required for everything in the long run. To buy food for example. It will be a form of social credit and will be used to withhold whatever is necessary to make you're behaviour conform to what the government expects. The Irish government version of this will be a digital "wallet". All these "smart" devices and "wallets" like Google wallet etc are named in a manner that makes them sound convenient for you. Helpful to you. They will entrap you in a digital prison where privileges will only be afforded to those who comply. They will decide where you go, who you see, what and when you eat, how much electricity you use, whether you can use the Internet and social media, what payments you get and in what form (CBDCs and Carbon credits). The only free cheese is in a mousetrap.
