This year, NGS Cares is collecting shelf-stable donations to fill take home food boxes this Thanksgiving season for our friends at Ruth Ellis Center, and we need your help!
Donations can be made in person, purchased through our Amazon Wishlist, or monetarily direct to REC!
Prideraiser update:
The month is winding down, but we aren’t done yet! We have a lot of work to do if we want to beat our best from last year. Follow the link in our bio to make your pledge or one time donation today!!
Extreme heat doesn’t negate poverty. We’re out at Cass Park helping our neighbors in need, just as we always do, every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month from 11-noon.

Today, March 31st, marks International Transgender Day of Visibility.
Trans Day of Visibility (TDOV) was created in 2010 by Rachel Crandall-Crocker, a friend of Detroit City FC and NGS Cares and the founder of Transgender Michigan.
These idiots jumped into freezing water to support @SpOlympicsMI today. So nice of them to give us a trophy for being dumb, too!
$3,830 raised this year.
It was never just about sports.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to our volunteers that came out to @RuthEllisCenter tonight to help organize their Community Closet, and as always thank you to Krystina for the guidance!
We will be making another trip out to continue our work in the near future, so stay tuned!
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY TOMORROW EVENING
Join us Tuesday Feb 18th at Ruth Ellis Center at 5:30pm.
They have asked for help organizing and preparing their community closet, which is something we definitely can do!
This is a fantastic and simple way to help our neighbors.
