Hey @grok, has the English referee that officiated in the Manchester derby of the EPL match Michael Oliver suspended?
Should the "error of judgement" be solely the referee's mistake or the VAR crew that failed to call his attention to the screen to look at Fernandez’s potential interference?
Jelitics just stunned everyone by dropping $500K on the Broncos to win 😭💰
If Denver pulls it off, she walks away with $1.05M that’s a $550K profit from one bet.
Let’s see how this plays out
On the third day of searching for my lost dog, I finally got a call saying he'd been found and taken in. When I went to pick him up, the person who'd taken him in was my own brother, someone I'd been estranged from for twenty years.
My brother and I hadn't spoken once in twenty years, ever since a falling-out over caring for our parents. I'd been trying to forget he even existed.
Even looking at the address from the shelter, I never imagined my brother could be living in that area.
When I went to pick up my dog, standing at the door was someone who looked older than I remembered, but was unmistakably my brother.
Brother: "...It's been a while."
Me: "...Yeah. I never expected to run into you here."
Brother: "Your dog wandered into my yard. I saw the contact info on his collar and took him straight to the shelter."
Me: "Thank you. You really saved me."
HR: “Your contract is terminated effective immediately. Clear your desk.”
Me: “Understood. Before I go, can you get the founder on the line?”
HR smirked. “What for? To cry and beg?”
I kept my voice calm. “No. So you can explain why you just fired the person he personally flew in last month.”
The room went dead silent.
HR dialed, still half-smiling.
“Sir, we’ve processed a termination—”
The founder cut him off.
“Who?”
HR said my name.
Three seconds of pure quiet.
Then: “Put her on speaker. Now.”
I took the phone.
One of the most beautiful things we can ask Allah for is to let us die while He is pleased with us. To leave this world with iman in our hearts, His remembrance on our tongues and a life that was spent in submission to Him. May Allah grant us a beautiful ending. Ameen.
Some Marvel scenes don't hit the first time you watch em. They hit later, way later.
Peter looking at Tony right after the snap is one of them fr. Kid's still trying to be useful in that moment, doesn't even know that's the last time he gets to be that version of himself in front of the man who basically became his dad.
Tony's grief hits different too, quieter but honestly worse ngl. He didn't just lose a teammate, he lost the whole future he was building once he stopped being just Iron Man. That photo scene isn't some throwaway moment either, it's a man sitting with a life that ended before it even started.
MCU's got a ton of big loud deaths but the ones that actually stick with you are always the small ones. A look. A photo. A line that doesn't even hit till years later.
Which one still gets you 😭
Another Beautiful day.
Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice, and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.
We will be there.
What "being present" means to him vs her
His version:
• I'm right here in the room with you.
• We watch TV together every night.
• I don't go out without you.
• I'm physically available whenever you need me.
Her version:
Something strange is getting serious attention.
A new docuseries is investigating reported UFO encounters, paranormal experiences and other phenomena that science still struggles to explain.
Researchers are even examining historical cases and records surrounding these unexplained events.
So what do you think?
Are we finally getting closer to understanding the unexplained, or are we discovering that some things were never meant to be explained? 👀
Employee: Can I leave an hour early on Friday? My kid’s school closes early.
Manager: What does the policy say?
Employee: Standard hours are 9 to 5. No early outs without prior approval.
Manager: Then no. Rules are rules.
Employee: It’s just one hour. A little flexibility won’t break anything.
Manager: I’m sorry. We have to stay consistent.
Employee: Understood.
Monday morning…
Manager: Why wasn’t the client proposal in my inbox by 8 a.m.?
Employee: Can I ask something?
Manager: Sure.
Employee: What does the policy say about working outside regular hours?
Manager: Officially nothing is required before 9. But sometimes people need to show a little extra commitment.
An unfair bullfighting contest.... they literally sawed off the bull's horns, and then a whole group of people just teamed up to bully a trapped bull 🥺
