His father in law is Patron of UK Lawyers for Israel.

Hall has visited Israeli "counter-terrorism" bodies, spends family holidays in Israel, and indulges vigilante fantasies by guarding his local synagogue against non-existent attacks.

None of which he mentions in this article today in the Observer supporting the proscription.
