Born today 15D Agrippina the Younger. She was the mother of Emperor Nero and had great influence over him in the early part of his reign
She is also the daughter of Germanicus Caesar and Vipsania Agrippina, sister of the emperor Caligula and married to Emperor Claudius
The Latin noun ‘suffragium’ means ‘a vote’, and is at the root of English ‘suffrage’, ‘the right to vote’. In 1906, The Daily Mail coined the term ‘suffragette’ to belittle women fighting for that right, but they wore it with pride. ‘Vote’ comes from Latin ‘votum’, a solemn vow.
@nhehs#AthenasOwls have a new competition for anyone aged 5-14. Check this out if you're looking to practise your creative writing.

An excellent talk on ancient obstetrics & gynaecology from Emaan at today's #ClassicsMasterclass. That wandering womb theory always makes us chuckle😁
