"My mom and my dad, I wouldn't have gotten into this game without them... In their eyes, I don't think I've ever played a bad game."
After announcing his retirement, an emotional Ben Bishop thanks his family, teammates, media and fans for their support throughout his career.
"I didn’t really see where he was coming from. It’s just one of those things that he’s entitled to this opinion."
Anaheim Ducks super rookie Trevor Zegras says he isn't concerned about John Tortorella's criticism of his highlight-reel assist last week.

Seen this crazy goal by Zegras & Milano of Anaheim Ducks?
@jolonkw mentions it in this week’s podcast! >

But are you team Tortorella - who says it’s too “showman” and it’s “not good for the game”?!
@NHLFansFromAfar It just makes sense to bring back taxi squads, it seemed to work last season. It offers NHL teams a solution for these problems, the rate at which players are entering the protocol is alarming. If the league isn't going to pause its the only solution
I mean, I think the NHL's going to end up needing extra days anyways, whether that's extending the season or skipping the Olympics and moving some games into Feb.
So crazy how quickly a good player can fall. Khudobin was the feel-good story of the bubble, helping his team to the Final after Bishop went down. That was just over a year ago!
Are players selfish if they DO want to play in the Olympics?
Seems a lot at stake if they do test positive for COVID - mental health, NHL team playoff run, financially…
Lehner’s already said no.
Others are concerned.
To be discussed on this week’s podcast recording!
The NHL’s COVID-19 protocol list is growing — and so too are concerns from players about participating in the Beijing Olympics.

Listening to @NHLFansFromAfar podcast. Discussions about the SA case unpicked with compassion yet with the passion anger & disgust that is also needed. Excellent points made about the NHL and it’s power hierarchy and the role that played. Worth a listen if you can. Good job guys.
McCrimmon said he believes Eichel's timeframe for a return to be in the next 3-5 months, but this depends on the surgery and when Jack feels ready to play.
