@Davemconte Hey Dave. Air hunger was massive for me as well. Now I think about it, I can feel it! Chest breathing impossible for me. Can't take a full deep breath. However what saved my life was Buteyko breathing and the shift to the nose. Without it, I would be living life of sheer misery
It's clear that Welsh Government are struggling to support NHS Wales deal with the latest winter crisis.
This now demands intervention from @wesstreeting. This cannot continue.

US context but equally applies to NHS.
Administrators and managets are essential. But we need fewer and better, and we need to harness AI to reduce the administrative burden.
We fully support a league table system to improve performance and increase transparency with the public.
Well done @wesstreeting!
Need to see this in Wales as well and why we need a #OneNation approach to healthcare

We welcome any move to connect pay rises to performance.
Agenda for Change allows for prevention of climbing the spine point.
There is no culture of performance management.
It's time for reform.

π¨ NEW: Health Secretary Wes Streeting will announce next week that NHS managers will lose their pay rises if they keep running poor services
[@SophiaSleigh]
I'm sitting in a (good) NHS hospital and a nurse is telling a patient that the "computer" has deleted his appointment for a test from the system and there are no other appointments left today - he will have to go home - because of a "glitch".
This isn't good enough.
Capital investment in hospitals is welcome. However there is no guarantee the overall funding envelope will improve performance.
Funding increases without reform mean #NHS will remain a bottomless pit.

The 'privatisation' narrative is a myth.
Scanners, equipment, medications, most GPs, pharmacists and dentists are all "private" but providing essential #NHS services.
We need to reform the NHS
Excellent from @albieamankona. We cannot keep this up and the public must get real on the NHS. Scaremongering media narratives about privatisation and a cakeist attitude on spending has stifled us having a serious discussion about its future - and itβs to our own disadvantage.
The Chancellor should not play political games.
Labour have run #NHS in Wales since 1999
SNP have run NHS in Scotland since 2007.
We need a UK-wide approach.
#Budget2024
Organisational development budgets have sky-rocketed in #NHS. A lot of inward-facing team development comprises that. But are outcomes improving?
Instead #OD needs to shift to organisational design- where focus is on skill mix & how we can introduce new roles more effectively.
One of the public errors about #NHS is perception of NHS management.
"Get rid of the managers and have more doctors!"
AI may help relieve admin and management burden however to not have very best managers running a complex Β£120bn system is catastrophic.

The #NHS is still operating under a 1950s model of healthcare in 2024.
Policy and law sets out the shift to prevention and primary care, but we are no closer to it.

UK eagerly awaits the new Budget this week. Itβs clear that the NHS will receive an additional funding boostβreportedly in the range of 4-5%. Q we all need to ask is: will this uplift have a tangible impact on headline performance, or will it once again fail to move the needle?
