Die USA unterstützen ausdrücklich den Gebietsanspruch Marokkos auf die Gebiete der sogenannten "West-Sahara"

Der Streit um die Westsahara ist einer der ältesten ungelösten Territorialkonflikte der Welt und dreht sich um die Frage der Souveränität und des Selbstbestimmungsrechts über dieses dünn besiedelte Wüstengebiet an der Atlantikküste Nordwestafrikas

Sowohl Mauretanien als auch Marokko aber besonders die Einheimische Bevölkerung, die seit Jahrzehnten um Selbstbestimmung und Unabhängigkeit kämpft, erheben Anspruch auf das Gebiet -
Ich muss gar nicht mehr dazusagen, dass es nicht nur um das Territorium, sondern auch um riesige Ressourcen
