The ultimate mission impossible?
Finding a video editor who just “gets you”
🔸You have a vision
🔸You have the ideas
But somehow you can not get those thoughts across while outsourcing.
Ask yourself these questions before looking for an editor:
→ How many videos do I want edited?
→ How many visuals do I want in my videos?
→ How involved do I want my editor to be (I make all the decisions VS creative freedom to the editor)
→ Do I want a bundle or only a few videos?
→ How much of an impact will those videos make
[big brands = higher impact = higher price]
[small brands = lower impact = lower price]
→ Are you okay with an AI tool choosing the clips & automated captions or do you want a real human doing the work for you?
→ What is the length of my videos?
→ What are my goals with the videos?
→ Do I have examples of video editing that I already love?
If you can approach an editor already knowing these things...
It will increase your chances of having effective communication - minimizing misunderstandings.
Which leads to an accurate offer and time estimates.
Surprises are good and all, but not when it is about your videos being edited at double the price that your editor anticipated in the beginning.
