Had a great talk with my best friends about #life, #goals, #ambition, #music, #technology and many other things today.

Just going to reflect here for a few minutes on my takeaways, hoping it's useful to me or others.

This isn't hopeless. If I just keep putting in time and trusting my own instincts, I can make one #song sound a little better today.

If I just keep doing that each day, the songs will come together and so will the #album.

Trying to find the balance between #perfectionism and #acceptance of imperfection is SO difficult for me while I produce this new #album.

I can't be the only one who struggles with this.

Broken my attempt at no #films. As long as the #album keeps making progress I can live with that.

The movie "Sunshine" remains one of the most awe-inspiring & beautiful #scifi films ever. Heartwrenching #soundtrack, too.

This #movie is transcendent.

So I suppose I'm just fiddling with options and fine details until night falls and it's cool enough in the studio to work without air conditioning. Just #texas things

Feel good about my mic + preamp + compressor selection on the vocals (@rodemics NT1-A + @EmpiricalLabs Mike-E)

But it's TOO HOT in my studio to record #vocals rn (have to turn off A/C to avoid bg noise)

Turning my attention to instrumentals & #synths instead
