NIDEM is the Central Training Institute entrusted with the responsibility of capacity Building of Indian Defence Estates Service (IDES) Officers and DE org.
NIDEM has successfully conducted a Training Programme on Land Management and Related Aspects for officers of DRDO between 4th– 5th June 2026.
The programme was inaugurated by the Director, NIDEM, who delivered keynote address highlighting the significance of effective land management, strategic planning, and capacity building for organizational excellence.
The training module covered topics like defence land matters, Govt. litigation, land acquisition, removal of encroachments and Works of Defence. This was the first of its kind training course for the DRDO officers.
The initiative reaffirmed NIDEM's commitment to foster professional excellence through knowledge-driven capacity building and inter-organizational collaboration.
The valedictory function was attended by Dr.B.Choubey Outstanding Scientist & Director DCW & E, as the Chief Guest.

NIDEM conducted a one-day workshop on Land Management for IA&AS officers and Senior Audit Officers on 21st November 2025. The training aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of core land management principles, legal frameworks, and best practices for auditing land records.
It also covered modern technological advancements such as GIS-based mapping, digital land record systems, satellite imagery analysis, and other data-driven tools that are transforming land monitoring and management.
The programme aimed to foster the spirit of Seva Bhav (sense of service) and accountability. It served as a transformative learning experience, combining elements of training, introspection, and motivation to strengthen a culture of efficiency, empathy, and responsiveness.
NIDEM organised a three-days “Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva Bhav” programme for the IDES officers, Balmer Lawrie Investments, and the National Sugar Institute. Conducted under the guidance of the Government of India and the Capacity Building Commission.
