H.E, @GovernorInuwa has disbursed a N500 million grant to support 60 businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in Gombe State.
The amount was disbursed to the beneficiaries under the Gombe COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (GO-CARES) programme.
The program is designed to support a budgeted programme of expenditures and interventions at the State level – targeting existing and emerging vulnerable and poor households, agricultural value chains, and Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) affected by the economic crisis.

‘BO-CARES’ is Borno State’s domestication of the federal government’s ‘NG-CARES’, to mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the poor and vulnerable households and small scales enterprises.
The program aims to retain and create jobs using labor-intensive methods in key areas such as agriculture, facility maintenance, housing, and direct labor interventions.
