FIR Filed Against Mohan Gowda of Hindu Rashtra Samanvaya Samithi Over False Social Media Claims

BENGALURU

#Bengaluru Police have registered a suo motu case against Mohan Gowda, State Organizer of the Hindu Rashtra Samanvaya Samithi, for allegedly spreading false and misleading information on social media regarding the cancellation of comedian #KunalKamra’s show.

According to the complaint filed by Police Constable Shridhar, who was on social media monitoring duty, Gowda posted a video on his “X” account disseminating false and misleading information to the public. Police allege that his videos and posts on the platform spread rumors and provided false information with the intent to cause harm.

The #Whitefield Police have registered an FIR under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Sections 217 and 353(2).
