A fire started after the military junta shelled the town indiscriminately. As the junta soldiers looted properties, destroyed houses, local resistance fighters killed a soldier and as a result, the junta troops immediately shell the town, a local resident said.

More than 100 houses and the largest Baptish Church were set on fire by artillery shelled by SAC Terrorist Group. The artillery fire broke out at 9:50am. SAC continuously shelled until 6:30pm.
