Focusses on the rational design and development of carbon dot (CD)-based nanocomposites for multifunctional environmental applications. Major highlights of her work is development of photothermal platform for solar-driven interfacial water evaporation and purification.

When 2025 chemistry laureate Richard Robson came up with an idea to build a new type of chemical construction while building models for teaching, not everyone was fully on board.

In this interview with our new laureate shortly after he had been awarded the prize, he recounts how he drifted into chemistry and shares his thoughts on the attention that will come with the #NobelPrize: “Handling all the nonsense that’s going to happen is going to be hard work!”
