@craigcartonlive@CartonShowWFAN@CMacWFAN don't do Traeger -- look into Camp Chef. I have the Camp Chef Vertical XXL pellet smoker and it is absolutely fantastic.
@JCaporoso I don't want to overreact but this pick is infuriating. First bc there was absolutely no reason to trade up for him & second because we still have so many needs on this roster. How many times do we see teams hit on day 3 picks and say "damn why couldn't we get a guy like that?"
@JCaporoso I'm w/ you. Idea of taking a CB early is maddening. That position is in decent shape already for '26, we need offensive playmakers. We saw what happened when G5 went down. If CB were such a dire situation, don't trade a 25 year old Pro Bowl CB. Wait until '27, get weapons now.
@Andrew_a174 Need more. Honestly, w/ the 2 recruits coming in I wouldn't mind Stewart going. Think I've seen enough of him. We need another PG who's a better ball handler than Silas & who can shoot bc Silas just doesn't shoot for some reason. Also, idk if Reibe can be trusted, need another C
@bleedjetsgreen@JetsRoundtable I don't disagree, we have some common ground. But I do think it's fair to point out the offensive mess and QB play Breece has had to deal with. I think he's 100% on that level if he had the supporting casts of those two.
@bleedjetsgreen@JetsRoundtable Again, I'm not saying be reckless with a contract...but I would give him 4/$48 with $30 guaranteed and feel comfortable in a heartbeat
@bleedjetsgreen@JetsRoundtable Which FA do you want to pay more than Breece?
Walker
Etienne
Dowdle
Allgeier
Javonte
Najee
Dobbins
White
Gainwell?
Are any of them better than Breece? Are we a better team w/ 1 of them and a little more cap space (even though the cap went up again and we already have a ton)?
@bleedjetsgreen@JetsRoundtable Any FA addition is inherently an overpay, that's what FA is. If signing one at an inflated salary is an option, why not do it to keep one of your own in Breece? He's 24 years old.
@bleedjetsgreen@JetsRoundtable They preferred to go budget friendly bc of Mahomes/Kelce/Jones/Tyreek and wanted to put more $ into the OL. But I'm not concerned with them, I'm concerned with adding/keeping as much talent as possible for us. Are we a better or worse team with Breece on the roster?
@bleedjetsgreen@JetsRoundtable I'm not saying pay him $20 million, but "fair market value" doesn't exist when the team is in the position it's in right now. Everyone is going to be an overpay to sign here.
@bleedjetsgreen@JetsRoundtable And who knows what other teams would want to upgrade that position with a young talent like Breece who has been handcuffed by poor offenses around him
@bleedjetsgreen@JetsRoundtable Who's to say no one else will? There is always a team willing to pay, especially when the player garnered significant trade interest prior to the deadline. We cleared Q and Sauce's contracts, we have no big QB contract, surround whoever the next QB is with the proper weapons
@bleedjetsgreen@JetsRoundtable Why let him walk only to use a premium asset on the same position when we already have a ton of other holes? We're top 5 in cap space, "overpaying" to keep a really good home grown player is worth it. We need to keep the little talent we have, not continue down this same path
