As Bad As It Gets? OPIS sports average gasoline margins for retailers barely above 11cts/gal Friday, about one-fourth of the normal rate. Clearly, gas prices have to rise or you'll see lots of retailers hemorrhaging with losses in the fuel category. Don't blame the messenger!

BREAKING: $4 is back. The national average has just reached $4/gal according to GasBuddy, the highest since August 8, 2022. The rise is now the largest monthly increase GasBuddy has ever recorded: $1.059/gal for gasoline, $1.701/gal for diesel.
Instead of driving down costs, President Trump’s tariffs made life less affordable. They increased the price of groceries, utilities, and much more.
Glad SCOTUS recognized that these tariffs were plainly unlawful.
These illegal tariffs have raised New Jerseyans' costs by $1,700 per family, while devastating small businesses and jobs growth.
I'm thrilled that folks and businesses will start to see the relief they deserve – with no thanks to the President.

Trump’s tariffs are falling on the backs of the middle-class – hurting New Jersey’s small businesses and households.
We are in an affordability crisis, and working families can't afford another $1,000 hit.
Hey Mr. Speaker! Totally agree with this…weather like this would have most of us choose full service. But let’s be clear…no one is calling for the elimination of full service in NJ. Our proposals would allow some mix of full and self serve. Those people who prefer to serve themselves could…and those folks looking to save every penny could benefit from the lower cost. We’d have convenience for those that don’t care what they pay…and a more affordable option for those that are struggling. You on board? Let’s do this!
In New Jersey, a longtime ban on pumping your own gas disguises labor regulations and entrenched interests as cultural heritage—and everyone pays for it, writes @maxraskin https://t.co/OykIL0Lxvs
Think you're paying a lot for energy now?! Wait til you see what supporters of so-called climate legislation have in store for you with a likely unconstitutional cash grab on business. NJBIA's @CantorRaymond explains in @njdotcom today.

Last week I visited NJ’s Office of Weights & Measures—founded in 1911 to protect consumers. From gas pumps to grocery scales, their inspections ensure accuracy and fairness in everyday transactions. Proud to support this team’s century-long mission of safeguarding NJ residents.

Sen. @HollySchepisi’s bipartisan bill is now law, cracking down on organized retail theft and brazen "smash and grab" crimes, while enhancing public safety.
S-3587 increases penalties, targets stolen goods resale, combats gift card fraud, and protects retail workers.
