Turtles are beautiful, magnificent creatures that are able to survive for decades.

On this World Turtle Day, let's make sure we are doing our part to help protect our beloved underwater friends. Every time we say no to plastic, a marine creature lives another day!

Recently a remarkable rescue operation was carried out in Hahara village, saving a turtle weighing approximately 15 kilograms.

After ensuring its wellbeing, the team safely released the turtle into the pond of the Gopeshwar Temple.

In our continued efforts to curb illegal activities, two illegal band saw mills were seized from Baghmara Char area of Barpeta by our team led by Abhinab Barua, AFS, Range Officer of Barpeta Road range.

In two operations aimed at curbing illegal transportation activities, our team seized a vehicle loaded with ordinary clay at Banikuchi, Nalbari; & a dumper involved in the illegal transportation of river sand was also intercepted and taken into custody.

Our team successfully seized a minor vehicle, a JCB, a tractor, and three more vehicles involved in the illegal transportation of minerals, as well as earth cutting and transporting. These seized vehicles are currently kept under the jurisdiction of the Nalbari Range.

During our patrolling duty, our team successfully seized four tractors involved in the illegal transportation of earth and sand. The operations took place in the Rajaghat area of Pathsala, Barpeta area, and Kaljhar area.

During our night patrolling duty, our team successfully seized four dumpers involved in the illegal transportation of earth, sand, and sand-gravel from the Bhawanipur area.

Our Mangaldai Forest Beat Office successfully seized two tractors involved in the illegal transportation of ordinary earth from the Dhansiri River near Koupati. The seized tractors have been kept at Dalgaon Police Station for further investigation and legal proceedings.

Our team successfully seized two illegally operating silt excavation machines at the Pagladiya River in Nalbari.

By preventing unauthorized silt excavation, we are ensuring the preservation of the river's ecosystem and maintaining ecological balance.

In our recent operations, our team successfully seized a tractor and a dumper involved in the illegal transportation of earth and sand. The seizures were conducted in the Dipteswari area and the Chamota area, respectively.
