Day 3: Joe Yabuki of Ashita no Joe. This man grows immensely as a person throughout the story. From street rat jerk, to rival boxer jerk, and all the way to boxing jerk with a heart of gold by the end. #anime #anitwt

The start of a beautiful friendship and one of my favorite friendships in fiction. Ichigo's transformation gives me chills to this day. It's one of the greatest outfits in manga history for a reason. The comically-large sword is such a great choice. Stellar first chapter.

#BLEACH chapter 1: Man, it's crazy how Kubo's art evolved and got way better over time. This introduction to Ichigo's one of my favorites for an MC in that it shows him looking like a punk, but being such a tenderhearted kid. Lmk if you want a tag. #BleachSWG #manga #mangatwt

And our introduction to Hollows is extraordinarily creepy. Makes them a real and credible threat. Ichigo is so badass. I love a man who stands no chance, yet rises to the occasion. Rukia trusting Ichigo to transfer her power to him is a great character moment.
