Europe’s past, present and future is about people.
Across generations, Europe is changing: people are ageing, moving, and our population is evolving.
Policies must keep pace.
Demographers and research networks like @PopulationEU and @EU_JRC help turn data into better long-term policies.
An official European Demography Day would create a regular moment to raise awareness of shared demographic challenges across Europe, supporting support better coordination and evidence-based policymaking at EU level.
🌍Today is #InternationalMigrantsDay and our latest edition of the Atlas of Migration is out!
It includes data on migration for 198 countries worldwide, and information on the diverse factors influencing people’s decision to move.

@TerraOrBust You said UK drivers are only now able to tow a trailer without an additional test. That is not true. The EU rules (Directive from 2006) allow people to tow a trailer of up to 3500kg combined weight. The screenshot literally says UK remains aligned to EU rules.
@TerraOrBust At closer look the EU and the UK rules are pretty much the same now that the UK revised its rules, so what the UK has accomplished is alignment with EU rules 😊
@TerraOrBust Your numbers on the relocation of asylum seekers are just plain wrong and the statement that the relocation is on top of migration (small boats etc) that happens already is not true.
