Truth is Gen X fucked up (I say this as one of them). We were almost smug in our complacency.

And why not? Our grandparents had defeated fascism, our Mum’s had sorted out women’s rights, gay rights were well underway. What did we need to do 🤷‍♀️

Sure we protested S.28, and the poll tax. But basically life was sweet. The arc had bent towards justice, as we were told it would, and we could just sit back and enjoy.
