@KatySewall Enjoyed the piece today! I hate to say it, but Martyn's claim of recording Bachman's Warbler in 1999 is likely fraudulent. It was extinct long before then, and his recording is identical to this one by Stuart Keith from 1959: https://t.co/ewQdJ23jkc. ๐
@science_hitch I'm actually planning to introduce a course like this to our curriculum in Fall 2022. I'd love to hear of any recommendations and advice, too!

I've spent the last two days practicing #naturetherapy and #physicaldistancing by chasing life dragonflies in Maine, and I ended both wading in the Mattawamkeag River at sunset. Not only is it an amazingly relaxingโฆ https://t.co/gykAaYShQs
On the American Birding Podcast, Dr Nick Block (@NLBbirder) returns to talk @AmOrnith proposals. Northwestern Crows, great White Herons, and messy duck genetics are on tap!

So incredibly proud of my senior thesis student, @bryannanorden, for rocking her defense today! She was the first stonehillcollege biology student to have to present their thesisโฆ https://t.co/UI3WZOBbZf
@Maddie_McBroom Pretty sure it's a Common Eastern Bumblebee (Bombus impatiens), but there always seems to be some species I forget about with bees. ๐
