NLC Bharat's International Capacity Enhancement Program (ICEP) was conceived with the belief that Bharat's legislators must have opportunities to engage with the world's leading institutions, exchange ideas with global policymakers and bring back best practices that can strengthen governance and public service.

Watching this vision take shape in Chicago, with a distinguished Bharatiya delegation participating in the NCSL Legislative Summit 2026 and engaging with renowned academic and policy institutions, is deeply fulfilling. The idea was never merely to organize international visits, it was to create a movement that empowers Bharatiya legislators with global exposure, comparative insights and meaningful engagement with the world's finest democratic institutions. Seeing legislators from across Bharat from diverse states, regions and political ideologies coming together on a global platform to learn, exchange ideas and collectively strengthen democratic governance is both humbling and inspiring.
