Dear God, thank You for this day and for being a God who’s always doing something new. Your word in Isaiah 43:18-19 says, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” God, I’m standing at the edge of something unfamiliar, and part of me is still holding onto what’s behind me, and I need to let that go. I need to remember that I’m not defined by where I’ve been, I’m being refined for where I’m going. I don’t want to go back to what broke me or return to what You already rescued me from. Help me trust the process and embrace this new season, even when I can’t see the way forward yet. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day. -Proverbs 4:18
Dear God, thank You for this new day and for inviting me to pause and seek You before anything else. Your word in John 7:37-38 says, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” God, I’ll be honest, there have been days I’ve felt dry, tired, and beat down, but I’m asking You right now to fill me with Your Holy Spirit until rivers of living water flow out of me again. I don’t want to just survive today, I want Your life flowing through me in a way that helps me feel closer to You. Thank You for holding me up, and helping me keep moving forward, even through the pain. I give this day to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might He increases strength. -Isaiah 40:29
Dear God, thank You for this new day and for a word that brings hope because it’s true and consistent. Your word in Psalm 27:1 says, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” God, I’ve had challenges that have tried to shake me, but I’m choosing today to set my hope on You, not on my circumstances and not on what ’s gonna happen tonight or tomorrow. You are the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, and I trust You for the rest of my life no matter what comes. Help me wait on You and walk through this day knowing that You’re always by my side. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. -2 Corinthians 2:14
Dear God, thank You for this day and for being a God who specializes in redemption. Your word in 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.” God, I’ve made mistakes and there are seasons I wish I could rewrite, but I’m grateful that my past doesn’t have to define the rest of my story. You’re not limited by my failures, and You know exactly how to take the broken parts of my life and build something beautiful from them. Help me stop living in shame and start living like someone whose slate has been wiped clean. You came to me with honesty and a willing heart, and I’m giving You both right now. You’re not finished with me yet, and I’m not giving up. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be theirs. -Isaiah 61:7
Dear God, thank You for this new day and for the example You set by carrying Your cross all the way to Calvary for me. Your word in Luke 9:23 says, “If anyone would come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me.” God, I’m picking up my cross today. Help me love the people who are hard to love, pray for the ones who have hurt me, and walk out everything I say I believe instead of just saying it. It’s easy to love the people who love me back, but You’re calling me to so much more than that. Give me the strength today to walk by faith in a way that looks like You, not just in my words but in everything I do. Thank You for hearing my prayer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you. -Matthew 5:44
Dear God, thank You for this day and for being a God who carries us through things we never thought we’d survive. Your word in Psalm 121:5-8 says, “The Lord is your keeper. The Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all evil. He will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.” God, I’m holding onto that promise today because there have been moments in my life where it couldn’t have been anything else but You. People may not know my story, but You were there for every chapter of it, and I’m still standing because You carried me through. Thank You for keeping me, protecting me, and never letting go of my hand. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
He reached down from on high and took hold of me; He drew me out of deep waters. -2 Samuel 22:17
Dear God, thank You for Your grace, Your mercy, and Your love, and thank You for opening my eyes to see this new week. Your word in Lamentations 3:24-25 says, “I say to myself, the Lord is my portion. Therefore I will wait for Him. The Lord is good to those whose hope is in Him, to the one who seeks Him.” God, sometimes I’m impatient and I want answers right away, but I trust that Your timing is perfect and You see things way beyond what I can understand. As I step into this week, help me focus on every blessing I already have instead of everything I’m still waiting on. I’m choosing to be like a tree planted by streams of water, still standing, still growing, and trusting the process. I’ll continue to wait, pray, trust, and heal, and I put this whole week into Your hands. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
But as for me, I will watch expectantly for the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me. -Micah 7:7
