@LifesavingON did a BRILLIANT study to determine why employers have staff shortages. One bullet (of 30) went to wages. ONE bullet. #stupidity https://t.co/Zl5riZUqd1
@LifesavingON Hey @LifesavingON , I learned when instructors were paid ~50% more than minimum wage. What have you done to help with the downward spiral of instructor wages???
@LifesavingON I'd love to see @LifesavingON advocate for the swim instructor to be paid commensurate to training. But, no. Keep lowering the bar to keep supply of instructors up.
Why be upset at @LifesavingON ? I want @LifesavingON to do better for it’s MEMBERS. @LifesavingON is made up of members (those who hold and teach courses) and affiliates (corporations that “resell” courses). Decisions are often main favouring affiliates. Want examples?
Don’t pay @LifesavingON execs over $100k when many of your members are earning minimum wage (and FOR SURE don’t ask the minimum wage members for donations!).
60 years of, sorry, we lost your certificate, we'll get you your certs soon, but we'll pay our execs lots https://t.co/I1UwJnwVeZ Go @LifesavingON . Someday, you may actually focus on your members.
This summer marks the 60th anniversary of our National Lifeguard award, so let’s celebrate together! Use #NL60 to share your photos, stories, and memories with us!
@LifesavingON General Grievous may be ready for his shift, but the rest of us are making minimum wage lifeguarding. But, @LifesavingON makes sure that younger guards can make less money.
https://t.co/VDNbGTbRVo By reducing the age, @LifesavingON increased the supply of lifeguards which means wages don't need to change. Thanks @LifesavingON for supporting lower wages for lifeguards.
