Yesterday, #MiamiDadeEM welcomed members of the consular community for a FIFA World Cup 2026 preparedness briefing led by the Consulate of Argentina.

Representatives from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Uruguay joined the discussion to learn more about planning efforts, coordination, and preparedness measures underway as Miami-Dade prepares to host matches during the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Strong partnerships and collaboration are essential to ensuring a safe and successful experience for residents and visitors from around the world.

On Friday, I met with Her Majesty @UNSGSA Queen Máxima of the Netherlands and @Minister_FIN Eelco Heinen to discuss ongoing cooperation between the United States and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

We exchanged views on shared @g20org priorities and discussed efforts to advance global financial literacy, especially through private sector initiatives.

I thanked Queen Máxima for her work as the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Financial Health, and for speaking earlier in the day at the United States’ G20 Fireside Chat on Global Financial Literacy.
