A few points:
1 Its MY list, so I get to choose whoās here. Lists 2 & 3 are next.
2 If you were on a prior list & not this, itās no big deal, I like to switch it up.
3 I focused this list on mostly who I mostly interact with, so thatās why youāll rarely see a ābig nameā on here.
4 I will also release parts 2 & 3, with part 2 accounts starting with A-L & part 3 M-Z.
2025 Roland Garros - French Open menās rankings, please reply with your feedback
To me there are only 2 & a half guys who can actually win it, but Iāll give more names anyways
1 Carlos Alcaraz
2 Jannik Sinner
3 Novak Djokovic
4 Lorenzo Musetti
5 Jack Draper
The rest of these players Iām just putting on a list even tho I give them .01% chance of winning unlike Musetti & Draper where there is some crazy weird scenario where they can win this
6 Casper Ruud
7 Alexander Zverev
8 donāt have anyone
Carlos Alcaraz, pretty obvious favorite, defending champion, has won 2 clay masters this year & also won his last 4 matches vs Sinner
My biggest concern would be that he has a cakewalk draw for him & he might lose focus, the toughest guys for him would be Ruud in the QF & Musetti in the SFs & Iād be stunned if either went past 4 sets.
Jannik Sinner, I expect him to make the final here & I would never count him out in any match, but his draw is as BRUTAL as it can for this day & age.
He has Draper in the QF, Draper is much improved & while I expect him to win, I donāt think it will be like last years USO SF, then Novak in the SF, I know he has beaten Novak comprehensively in the past few meetings, but I can see it being a bit different as itās on clay, but ultimately Sinner is just younger & fresher and is able to beat him before most probably facing Alcaraz in the Final
As for a potential Alcaraz Sinner final, I do have some thoughts on the matchup that they have and some things I noticed about Sinner & it reminded me of the other matches they had. If anyone is interested, let me know and Iāll put it together
Novak Djokovic, I donāt really think Djokovic is winning here, but I simply canāt see anyone after him winning this if for some reason Alcaraz & sinner arenāt the winner, thatās why I have him here & very simply to me to would be the least shocking result of him winning it if itās not Alcaraz or Sinner.
In order to win his 25th major heāll have to beat Zverev, Sinner & Alcaraz, I just donāt see him doing it, but again I just can NEVER count him out
Lorenzo Musetti, his resume at RG is surprisingly good considering how young he is, he is 8-4 & he lost twice to Novak 21 & 24 (blew a 2-0 & 2-1 lead & in the final sets were non competitive), in 23 he lost to Alcaraz & in 22 he lost to Tsitsipas when he was still considered a top player and was the RU the year prior (also blew a 2-0 lead).
I expect him to meet Carlos Alcaraz in the SF, he has been to the SF of all 3 clay Masters this year &
Jack Draper, I donāt really think he has much of a shot to win a Clay major Best of 5, but I think he is right now the 3rd best player in tennis, so I kind of have him here.
He faces Jannik Sinner in the QF & Iāll be fascinated to see that match & maybe he shocks the world & pulls off the upset
Casper Ruud, I think heās the guy who can take advantage of a draw that falls apart but I donāt give him any shot vs Carlos in the QF
Alexander Zverev, I know he was the runner up last year, and i have him going to the QF this year, but I donāt believe for a second that he will win this, even if Alcaraz, Sinner & Djokovic are somehow knocked out in the early rounds, heāll find one of his new buddies like Cerundelo to knock him out in the 4th round
Di Minaur, he and Zverev are the 2 guys on this list that there isnāt any scenario that I can see them winning it, even if the top 5 names lose early, but he will probably make the 4th round or QF again
These are all the names that I can come up with, I donāt consider guys like Rune, Fils, Cerundelo etc to be a factor, maybe Rune makes a round of 16 or QF, but thatās it
@ugns_d Heāll be fine. He lost a match, no big deal, he also beat him in 2 straight Wimbledon finals
Back in the day Nadal -who was MUCH better than Alcaraz is now- lost 7 straight finals to Novak, it happens
I watched it, at THAT point Jannik Sinner wasnāt this all world champion that he is right now, and Novak may not be as good physically as sinner was then, but heās definitely better mentally
Also in that US open, THAT was the match of the tournament, the SF opponent was Tiafoe & Final was vs Ruud, here he would have to take on Zverev in the SF & most probably Sinner in the final
@ijkTA1619@ItzzZain10 If your takeaway from this match is that Alcaraz doesnāt have the mental game to beat great players at a grand slam, then I donāt know what to tell you
HC is BY FAR his 3rd best surface, he already has 4 slams & is just 21
Well for one you can only beat the person across the net⦠so using the word āvultureā just shows you have an emotional bias and really hate Novak and canāt look at this situation rationally.
But letās look at who each player beat to win their majors which is a major part of the conversation but it also gives you an idea of who they were competing against in the years the won masters 1000ās and achieved year end number 1ās.
You can not possibly make the argument that Novak had an easier run than Federer⦠but even if you could, again, you can only beat the player across the net. You have no clue what would have happened had Novak and Federer been the exact same age for example.
You are dipping into hypotheticals in order to back your way into the outcome you desire which is all Novakās records ānot countingā.
Fed is first and Novak is second.
Now that Iāve been to all the slams, hereās my honest ranking:
1. Wimbledon - best experience by far
2. Roland Garros & AO - Tied for second place but I like RG a little more because of the surface and the venue.
3. USO - Sorry but this is easily the worst of them all imo š
I was only at the US Open, but I was taken aback at how bad the experience was
1. I donāt care about your political stuff, but I DO care when you try to āforce it on meā & the BJK Tennis Center is set up like a āwoke indoctrination centerā vs a tennis venue
2. The parking is so far out & there is no clear directions or shuttles & no one there seems to know anything
There are more, but this is just for now
Yes & yes
What to do? I donāt know, I donāt want a āfixed drawā because then players will try to manipulate who they face by letās say beings 9th instead of 8th as to avoid the 1 seed or such
I do think that the 1 seed should NEVER face the 5 seed in a QF, there is a reason we say ātop 5 playerā
Novak Djokovic potentially winning his 25th Slam & going out the Steffi Graff way
Serious question. If Novak wins this and does something that has never been done before in the menās game, beats the top 3 ranked players in the world to win a slam (Steffi Graff did it for her LAST major victory at the 1999 French Open as the 6 seed beat No 2. Lindsay Davenport in the QF, No 3. Monica Seles in an EPIC SF & No 1. Martina Hingis is the Final), would you as a Novak fan be fine if this is it?
It would definitely rank amount the top 3 majors that he has won, I find it basically impossible to outdo the 2011 US open where he won his 3rd major of the year beating BOTH Roger Federer & Rafael Nadal & coming back from 2-0 & 2 MP down in the SF vs Federer.
Thatās what happens when you are the 7 seed and Sinner is the 1st seed
Last year at Wimbledon & the US open as the 1 seed Sinner had a draw with Medvedev in the QF, Carlos Alcaraz in the SF & Novak Djokovic in the Final, he obviously lost to Medvedev at Wimbledon & the other 2 lost before at the US open
In 2023 Alcaraz was the 1 seed at RG where he faced Novak who was the 3 seed in the SF & At the US open he had to face Zverev/sinner in the QF & then Medvedev in the SF while Novak faced Taylor Fritz (highest seed in that section was Tsitsipas) in the QF & Ben Shelton (highest seed was 4th ranked Holger Rune) in the SF
Not at a slam, in other events, sure. It probably happens often at the ATP Finals when itās not a top 3 seed winning it
Also I think Alcaraz did it at the 22 Madrid Masters beating Nadal, Djokovic & Zverev, but one of them could have been 4th, im not sure
Also David Nalbandian beat the big 3 at the 2007 Madrid masters
I expect them to play in the QF & I honestly donāt think Novak will have much of a chance.
Also this is BY FAR the best Iāve seen Alcaraz at a HC slam (I wasnāt following during the 2022 US Open)
As for Zverev, he has the physical talent, he always did, but the question is mentally
For reference of the Big 3 at slams before turning 22
Here is Roger Federer he wasnāt close. His last major before turning 22 was the 2003 Wimbledon in which he won.
So he has 1 major & 2 QF
At the AO has 10 wins in 4 years, but no QFs
At Roland Garros he has 7 wins in 5 years, but 1 QF & 3 first round exits
At Wimbledon he has 11 wins in 5 years with a title (right before he turned 22) & another QF (in 01 when he beat Sampras in R4) & another 3 1st round losses
At the US Open he has 8 wins in 3 years & no QF appearances
I donāt know who he was losing to those years, it probably wasnāt so much even guys like Agassi or Hewitt because they were TOP seeds and Federer was ranked high up enough that heād only be facing them in the QF or later & he only lost there twice, once was to Tim Henman & the other was to Alex Corretja at 01 RG
For Nadal I already covered the gist of it in the post above, he lost 2 Wimbledon finals to Federer, 1 was a non competitive at 20 years old in 2006 & a tougher 5 setter at 21 YO in 07 & he won the 2008 Wimbledon right after he turned 22 (also won the AO in 09 6 months later). Also had 2 HC QFs & he wasnāt particularly great on HC those days
For Novak it was really about Federer & Nadal who he was a combined 1-7 vs them (after age 22 heād go 16-10 vs them - 10-3 vs Federer & 6-7 vs Nadal) in majors
Cincinnati open & how it has made me a die hard tennis fan (with help from @carellijawn who I knew from golf & he helped me understand different aspects)
Personally for me the Cincinnati Open has a special place for me. Until that match I was a very casual tennis fan thruout the years who would tune in sometimes in a big GS match when it was trending on Twitter & never really followed up on them after.
I personally kick myself a lot for not being a big tennis fan thruout the years. For some stupid reason it just never appealed to me to be REALLY into it, maybe itās because no one I knew followed if & it was never spoken about on mainstream talk radio in america (unlike golf).
Last year during the Wimbledon final Twitter was going nuts with it so I tuned in & was ELECTRIFIED by Alcaraz, & the fact that he was doing & he just turned 20 & it was vs the GOAT Novak Djokovic that made it even more remarkable.
Anyways after the final I went back to not noticing or caring anything about tennis until the week of the Cincinnati Open.
A year ago I was in Beaver Creek Colorado for vacation & the Cincinnati Open was on the TVs during the whole week & at that point I didnāt even know that other tournaments other that the 4 majors existed (I knew VERY little about tennis, I knew of the ābig 3ā & Andy Murray AND Andy Roddick- when I first started following sports in 2008, the American media pushed Andy Roddick non stop & the ānext GREAT playerā) so it was eye opening to me.
Anyways I came back home on Thursday & on Saturday I start to see some buzz that there will be another Djokovic-Alcaraz match on Sunday at the Cincinnati Open & I figured I HAVE to tune into this.
Anyways I tuned into it early & i literally couldnāt turn away from it, I was like āthis sport is INCREDIBLE, Iāve watched plenty of tennis over the years, this just ālooks differentāā
Anyways I found out after the match that it was considered an all time classic final & Novak himself said it probably was his 2nd toughest final ever after the 2012 Australian Open final vs Nadal.
Anyways the way I go about things is that once I ādiscover somethingā & it interests me, I go ALL OUT & read up & watch everything about it etc & I am doing that now.
Itās just such a shame because I never really paid much attention thruout the best years the sport has ever known with the ābig 3ā & ironically that was one of the reasons I was sort of āturned offā from it, it always seemed to be the same few guys every single time
So basically at this point tennis has become by far my favorite sport to follow, in fact itās basically the only one I follow these days & im a huge Alcaraz fan (he is the one who made me into a die hard tennis fan) & like and respect the other players as well
As for the ābig 3ā, I now find that whole era as fascinating as any & itās unfortunate that I didnāt pay attention when it was right there & now there is only 1 player left from that trio
As for who is most famous āoutside of tennisā, itās Roger Federer by a wide margin, Iād always hear of him thruout the years while the other 2 have been more in sports circles, tho in recent years Novak was in the news a lot with the whole Covid vaccine stuff

Rare company for Carlos Alcaraz at the #AusOpen
With this win tonight, Carlos Alcaraz now has at least 10 wins at each of the 4 slams before turning 22 years old, joining;
1. Mats Wilander - 4 slams & another 2 finals
2. Rafael Nadal - 4 slams & another 2 finals (heād win the 2008 Wimbledon a month later
3. Novak Djokovic - 1 slam & another final, but another 4 SFs, overall he was great in the slams those early years, except vs Federer (1-3) & Nadal (0-4) for a combined 1-7, thatās why he didnāt win more like the other guys
4. Carlos Alcaraz - so far 4 slams & whatever happens this AO
What this shows is that Novak was a GREAT player earlier on, if he wasnāt facing those 2 TITANS at their peak he would have had AT LEAST 4 majors as well and weād be talking about him like one of the young phenoms like Borg, Wilander, Becker, Nadal, Alcaraz etc
Part 2 a recent example of how reaching on a QB sets you back in more ways than you can imagine.
What happened was in 2018 there were QBs to be taken, they stuck with Eli & took Barkley, Mayfield was 1st, so they then had a choice of Darnold, Allen & Rosen (there was zero consideration for Lamar Jackson as fas as we know). Darnold was most likely to be the pick if they chose a QB, but seeing how it went with the Jets, I donāt think it would have went much better with the giants, they were (& unfortunately still are) basically as dysfunctional as the jets, only less talented.
If they took Josh Allen he would NOT have developed with the Giants with all the instability, pressure etc that he would have here vs in Buffalo he was worshipped from day 1 & Josh Rosen
In 2019 Dave Gettleman HAD to take a QB if he wanted to save his job, so he reached for Daniel Jones at 6th overall because the QB he wanted -Justin Herbert- went back another year.
The next year they stunk & picked 4th, but during his rookie year Jones showed more than enough flashes that the Giants passed up on Justin Herbert
Then this past draft they won a meaningless game that cost them Drake Maye or Jayden Daniels etc & now we are back in this cycle
BTW you can take the best QB in the NFL right now & put him on the giants and they may be better and more watchable, but will still stink, and thatās with a veteran like Mahomes or Allen or whoever.
So to take a rookie & āthrow him into the fireā with a desperate front office, coaching staff & most importantly fanbase will NOT work out.
The few places it has worked out in Cincinnati with Burrow is different, he came to a team that was mostly mediocre for a while & bottomed out, he was given Tee Higgins with him in the draft & also had AJ Green & Tyler Boyd & a lot of pieces on defense, and even then he got hurt his rookie year bc of the garbage o line
You can also look at the commanders, well they do have a new coaching staff & FO & the giants could have had Daniels, but of course they got their āculture winsā with āTommy Cutletsā to pick after those QBs were taken
What the NY Giants SHOULD do vs what unfortunately they WILL do: part 1 of 2
(newsflash to giant fans, if Patrick Mahomes or Josh Allen or ANY QB would come to the giants next year with the roster as is, the Giants would still STINK, so when they reach for a QB in the draft & put him into as bad a situation as there is, even if said QB had potential, he & the giants will be screwed) Sunday January 5, 2025 right before the last game
My biggest worry is that they will trade up for the 1st pick to take Sanders & Ward & give up NEXT years 1st round pick for a mediocre QB at best & then not have their top 3 or so pick in 2026 when there IS a QB to take
Let me be clear, I donāt know much about these QBs, but the consensus is that they arenāt worthy of such high picks & IF the giants had the 1st or 2nd pick, I wouldnāt be upset if they reached for QB prospect because the upside is you hit the lottery.
There IS a HUGE downside on it as well, if you take a QB who you donāt really believe in, but NEED to take one, you just set yourself back as what happened to the giants in 2019-20 (next post I go in detail how it turned out).
Anyways unfortunately Joe Schoen (who WILL be staying even tho he is BRUTAL as I laid out in my post below) WILL trade up & take a QB & even if he stinks, youāll still give him a few years, just see for example Anthony Richardson who is as bad as it gets & canāt stay healthy, yet will get a 3rd year or closer to home Zach Wilson, bc thatās what you do with TOP picks, even when they CLEARLY donāt deserve it.
The giants WILL stink next year,
1.If you look at every roster - besides the QB position - the giants are a bottom 5 rosters, after 3 years Joe Schoen has done a BRUTAL job.
2.Their home schedule is besides the 3 home division games (the eagles & cowboys OWN the giants & WAS is no longer awful), are the chiefs, chargers, packers, Vikings & 49ers.
3.Of course you have giant fans who are always hopeful & believe in them when they donāt deserve it, well I donāt give them the benefit of the doubt, they have STUNK in the past decade except 2 fluke years, & the most recent one in 2022 had NOTHING to do with Joe Schoen, his biggest contribution to that team was Isiah Hodgins, I give Brian Daboll more credit
So the bottom line is I EXPECT the giants to trade up a ton & next years top 3-5 pick (maybe even 1st overall) & reach for at best a mediocre QB, blow out this god awful GM next year (not sure about Daboll, I have a feeling he will be gone after today, but who knows), & be stuck for another 5+ years while the giants try to do āquick fixesā with more incompetent GMs who the Maraās āfeel comfortable withā
Good bye š everyone here on X

IMPORTANT: Over the past few days, Iāve encountered a concerning trend among some Jews who feel compelled to apologize for antisemites and Jew hatred. These individuals are quick to shout about āfree speech,ā but in doing so, they ignore my own right to express my opinions and call out antisemitism wherever it arises. It is as though they are ashamed of their Jewish identity, and, tragically, they have internalized the false narratives and hateful rhetoric pushed by their abusers.
This behavior is not new; it is a well-known tactic employed by abusers and manipulators. When antisemitism becomes widespread and normalized, the ultimate goal of the antisemites is achieved: to create an environment so hostile that even questioning or resisting their hatred makes Jews appear unreasonable, defensive, or even āparanoid.ā The more widespread antisemitism becomes, the more difficult it is to call out, because society begins to view it as acceptable or commonplace. This is a dangerous cycle, and it is exactly how Europe looked in the years leading up to World War II.
We cannot allow history to repeat itself. We must recognize this manipulation for what it is and refuse to fall into the trap. Now more than ever, we must stand tall, embrace our Jewish identity with pride, and reject the pressure to apologize or downplay the hatred directed at us. We cannot stay silent or let our voices be drowned out by those who wish to harm us.
āļøā”ļøšThe Palestinians DO have a history⦠well sort of. Please read this entire post if you are to comment on it, & Iād appreciate you sharing it with others as well, thanks š
I see a lot of posts about if āPalestineā ever existed or not? Well it DID once exist even prior to the āancient kingdom of Israelā & Ironically the Jewish kingdoms never had control of the Gaza Strip.
(Obviously āPalestineā never existed, Iām just giving a history of the origins of the name which most of these Palinazis have no clue about).
It was an ancient place call āPhilistineā & they would give the Jews non stop trouble. (I say itās āironicā because the Jewish people conquered everywhere else BUT the Gaza Strip area)
In fact in the early weeks of the weekly Torah reading you have these āphilistinesā being discussed, Abraham made a āpeace treatyā with them & dug 7 wells in a place where itās not called āBeāer Shevaā (seven wells). (Surprisingly they broke it right away).
The only time before 1967 that Jews controlled that area was during the 2nd temple under an āillegitimate kingdomā in that the Hashmanoem set up (it was āillegitimateā in that only descendants of king David are allowed to be rulers over the land of Israel when itās in Jewish hands).
Regarding the Phillistines when the 1st temple was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar (king of the Babylon which in those days would switch back and forth with Syria & Egypt as the most powerful kingdoms) he let them stay while he exiled the Jews. They - as their history of doing - started causing him trouble, so he basically annihilated them & the few who survived were exiled far away.
After the 2nd temple was destroyed in 70 CE, about 45-50 years later the Jews rebelled and actually initially succeed vs the Romanās, then the Romans caught back and took back control with BRUTAL force, after massacring as many Jews as possible they sent almost all the rest away in exile and to embarrass the Jews gave the land the name āPalestineā from the name āPhilistiaā.
Also not only are the names in Israel from biblical times, but so too from the surrounding areas you find them from the Bible as well:
Jordan is from āYardenā which is the Jordan River. Then you have the capital there āAmmanā from āAmmon & Moebā.
Syria is āAshurā in Hebrew which is āAssyrian Empireā which actually was the biggest foe of the Jews during both Temple periods. (In the 2nd temple the āGreeksā that we refer to with the Hanukah story are actually āSeleucid Syrian Greeksā. Also there are places where āDameshekā (Damascus) is mentioned.
Then Lebanon is actually referred to as the area of āLevanonā, but there is multiple references to the āKingdoms of Sidon & Tzurā (Tyre).
As for Egypt, it was called āMitzrayimā, I donāt know when āEgyptā became the name etc, the Nile is spoken about all the time by the Exudos as the āNilusā. Also Alexandria is mentioned many times in the Talmud.
As for the āPhilistinesā there are are 2 instances that almost everyone in the world knows about today, 1. Is Samson the Warrior, the people he kept fighting were the Philistines & the 2nd and much more famous is Goliath who was the Philistine Giant who was slayed by David before he became kind. āDavid vs Goliathā is used all over the western world today for an upset when someone weaker beats a stronger foe.
