I think the E. Jean Carroll rape allegation is ludicrous and fabricated.

I don’t believe anyone could rape someone in a dressing room at Bergdorf Goodman during business hours without anyone noticing.

I especially don’t believe Donald Trump, who was rich and famous and owns the skyscraper across the street, could walk into Bergdorf’s and be left alone. People in the store would recognize him and gawk. Sales staff would be paying close attention to him in case he needed something.

The idea that the store could be dead enough that the lingerie floor could be as empty as Carroll describes it and nonetheless a VIP like Trump could follow a woman into the dressing room and rape her, totally ignored by everyone, strains credulity.

The accusation also mirrors an episode of “Law and Order,” which Carroll has described as her favorite show.

I have no idea whether she is lying intentionally or if she is crazy and believes it happened, but it is not a credible accusation and when liberals pretend to believe it, it makes me more supportive of Trump.

I feel similarly about frequent claims that Trump is a “pedophile” based on the fact that he knew Jeffrey Epstein, who was a pedophile. There is no evidence that the girls who Epstein trafficked and raped were raped by anyone other than Epstein — the victims themselves do not allege this, and nobody has ever accused Trump of anything.

The claims against Platner, made by multiple women who dated him and representing a consistent pattern of behavior, is wildly different than the accusation by Carroll, which is a completely fantastical claim by someone who doesn’t even know Trump.

In TEXAS.

Three little children were trapped beneath an upside down boat in a Texas lake over the holiday weekend.

Parents were screaming that their babies were underneath.

An off duty firefighter took off his hat and glasses, jumped into the lake, and refused to stop until every child was out.

What could have become a horrible Fourth of July tragedy in Texas instead became an extraordinary story of courage.

According to authorities, Midlothian firefighter and paramedic Jason Horne was spending the holiday with his family on Alvarado Lake when another boat carrying nine people capsized, trapping three children between the ages of 3 and 5 underneath.

Published reports say people nearby were desperately yelling that children were trapped.

Horne immediately dove beneath the overturned boat.

In interviews with WFAA and FOX 4, Horne described finding the first child by feeling a life jacket in the dark water before surfacing with a little boy who was still breathing.

He went back under.

The second child, a little girl, wasn’t breathing.

As his 12-year-old daughter, Emilie, called 911, Horne performed CPR until she began breathing again.

Then he dove beneath the boat a third time.

Published reports say another little boy was found tangled in the boat’s anchor line. Horne told reporters the child had no pulse when he was pulled from the water.

He performed CPR until the child’s pulse returned before emergency crews arrived.

Authorities say all three children survived and were taken to the hospital.

One detail from Horne’s interviews stood out to me.

As a father of four, he said he has always insisted his own children wear life jackets.

“I can find you if you’re floating. I can’t find you if you sink.”

His son later shared on Facebook, “God certainly sent a hero to help that family. I am so proud to call him my dad.”

His wife also celebrated him after watching the news coverage, writing, “I’m so proud of them.”

The Midlothian Fire Department praised Horne’s actions, saying he stepped up without hesitation and represented the department with honor.

Sometimes the right person is simply in the right place at exactly the right time.

On Saturday, three little children are alive because Jason Horne didn’t hesitate.

In July 2001, a 13 year old Boy Scout named Cody Clawson disappeared during a camping trip in the wilderness near Yellowstone.

For more than 18 hours, Cody was alone.

Cold.

Wet.

Hungry.

And miles away from his Scout camp.

Search teams began looking for him, but the wilderness was enormous. From the air, finding one boy among miles of trees and rugged land was almost impossible.

Then Cody heard a helicopter.

He ran toward an open area and desperately tried to make himself visible.

But shouting would never reach the aircraft.

So Cody looked down at his belt.

He removed his shiny belt buckle, held it toward the sun and began reflecting flashes of sunlight into the sky.

Inside the helicopter, someone noticed.

The pilot turned toward the flashes and landed nearby.

Cody had finally been found.

Then came a detail he probably never expected.

The man flying the rescue helicopter was Harrison Ford.

The Hollywood actor had volunteered his helicopter and piloting skills to help with the search.

After bringing Cody to safety, Ford reportedly joked that the boy must have earned a merit badge for the experience.

Cody's answer was perfect.

“I already earned this badge last summer.”

A 13 year old boy survived a terrifying night in the wilderness, remembered his Scout skills, and used a simple belt buckle to signal the sky.

40 out of 86 Brown students scored a perfect 100 on their midterm. Then the professor moved the final in person, and 22 of those perfect scorers never showed up again.

He'd suspected AI cheating from the start. The take-home midterm was deliberately harder than usual, yet the class averaged 96 when the historical range is 65 to 80. Some answers contained odd phrasing that matched what ChatGPT produced when he ran the questions through it himself.

Roberto Serrano has taught economics at Brown for 34 years. He filed no accusations. He announced the final would be in person, count for half the grade, and that if the two distributions didn't match, the final alone would determine grades.

Then the exodus. 27 students never showed up. 22 of them had perfect midterms. Of the 59 who did show, 19 failed. Several signed the exam and turned it in blank. The average fell from 96 to 48, the lowest in the course's history.

He never needed a plagiarism detector. The cheaters identified themselves by walking away. A grade distribution became a confession.

Here's the part nobody's sitting with. Serrano proved it. He sent the distributions to Brown's dean and provost. The provost never responded. The academic committee's reply amounted to calling it "a wake-up call." The students who bailed before the final walked away clean.

Every university in America is now grading two populations, students and students plus ChatGPT, on one curve. The honest kids in Serrano's class watched a 96 average get set by machines, then sat a real final against it. The cheaters lost nothing. That's the incentive structure now, and it grades itself.

I'm not going to extend to you the courtesy that your paragraph about lawfare extends to Trump supporters. Because I've studied enough of you, to know what you are truly about.

You were President during the post-Cold War sugar high. I have it thoroughly documented that you and your administration met with George Soros frequently, and in short term changed your policy positions to fit whatever George Soros proposed.

Which was: continuous military intervention all over the world. Starting with the bombing of Yugoslavia. You were the original neoconservative. Madeline Albright used "open society" phrasing in communicating your foreign policy documents. You are a part of the long string of failures of nation-building in the name of democracy, the Western interventions that resulted in millions of mass migrants overwhelming our borders, artificial famines, and us building the infrastructure that enabled China to take over the Africa continent and extract African resources for themselves.

But. Most of all. Those of us -- and there are a good deal many of us -- who have been ruined by lawfare. @GenFlynn sacrificed everything. @JeffClarkUS has had his life ruined and is still rebuilding. At the end of the day, only one President has been the subject of repeated assassination attempts and eighty-plus indictments - and it's President Trump. Not anyone in your orbit.

Seriously, Bill. What do you think when you see that a Democrat gets indicted by a grand jury, and a judge inevitably overturns that indictment on grounds that nobody has heard of? "Oh wow the judges are so wise and saw right through a jury of peers! And that wisdom coincidentally happens to always fall on party lines!" Give me a break.

Every single one of us on the right-wing side knows that when your side regains power, your side will turn the full might of lawfare on us. You will cheer on mass incarcerations. You openly brag about that. You even toe the line of threatening to jail current military members if they don't refuse orders from Pete Hegseth.

You are the evil one here. You cheer on the burning of our cities. You cheer on lawfare of Republicans. You never apologized for the millions of lives disrupted all over the world. You never say a word about the billions or even trillions of dollars that have been robbed by your friends through corrupt NGOs.

The fact that none of you are in jail, proves that we are the powerless ones here. You're just afraid that someone sees you for you who are, and you secretly know that image is ugly.
