New high speed passenger jet flying into Vancouver this (Tues Apr 27th) afternoon and, in the last photo, you can tell by the bright RED dot that the jets are, either, made by Leica or the guns are locked on :o . ;) @yvrairport@RCAF_ARC@cbcnewsbc@CTVVancouver@VancouverSun
The @AbbotsfordSD is demanding that teachers do their online Pro-D in person at their schools today, while secondary principals are at Whistler at a retreat. If you want to know why teacher morale is low, it's shit like this. #bced
Dear BC Parents,
Please know teachers are doing whatever we can to make #bced safer & more flexible for our students & families. We are in stunned shock that admin & staff have to do this largely by ourselves, in midst of global pandemic, despite a “people first” @bcndp govt. /1
Districts who not do not share #Covid_19 case info w/ their school populations, esp when those schools have high indigenous populations, should not claim #reconciliation as a district goal. #bced
I just signed this petition, please join me: https://t.co/ZVRw1SfcUe via @leadnowca
Yes. @Rob_Fleming & the @BCNDPCaucus are passing the buck. Teachers are already being told they have to be "mask police " @ lunch hours in the hallways. Students wandering wherever they feel like, refusing 2 mask up- but those are the rules, we were told. #Libertarian#pandemic
For much of the day yesterday, the *indoor* air quality sensor at Lloyd George Elementary in #Kamloops was between 150 & 200 AQI, considered unhealthy for all groups. The censor is off today. #bced
But @DrBonnieHenry@jjhorgan@Rob_Fleming@adriandix were fine with sending kids and staff to work today. @canadaposthelps had their employees’ backs and wouldn’t let them work; #bced was trapped inside all day - one colleague reported ashes coming in through their vents.
School districts are attempting to divert COVID funds. There are hundreds of millions of dollars to cover safety like plexiglass barriers, and yet one district even sent kids home asking for money for plexiglass. That money is being stolen- where is the accountability!? #bced
It is time for @adriandix and @Rob_Fleming to direct school boards to spend the $242 million of federal money to reduce school density and class sizes. There is too much inequity and inconsistency across #bced districts. These employers are not doing enough to protect workers.

So first fragmented work day... three 30-min interruptions in my work day to support child drop-off/pick-up. 1.5 hrs lost. I have 2 hrs before I have to leave again. From a productivity point of view: This. Sucks.
Single parent voice was not a part of the #bced plan for sure.
