We're so proud of our lovely driver Mark Hudson. He takes our passengers to get their weekly shopping and out on excursions. Today he was nominated for a medal on @BBCNorfolk as he rescued a trapped hedgehog. All is a day's work for Mark!
We'd like to say a huge thank you to the @countrysidefund Fund for supporting us in our work. Our trips are often over-subscribed and we want to help as many people as possible to get their shopping and reach essential services, as well meeting and making new friends.
We are so grateful to have received funding from the Earl of Northampton's Charity, via the Mercers Company. These centuries old institutions are helping us towards running our services for the next three years.
We've launched a new report with @EnergySvgTrust on the accessibility of #ElectricVehicle (EV) design. The research found that disabled people aren't considered enough in the design and production of EVs, especially users of wheelchair accessible vehicles: https://t.co/p9i4bb7SGn
We are looking for Trustees to bring us fresh perspective. This is a rewarding but unpaid, volunteer role. You do not need previous experience. For an informal chat about what's involved, please contact Jane Bishop, Executive Lead on 01692 500840 or email [email protected].
This #NationalDoctorsDay, we’re celebrating the amazing work of our EAAA doctors.
Over 35 doctors work with the charity to help deliver our life-saving service, with each of them trained in pre-hospital emergency medicine.
Join us in saying thank you for everything they do 💛

@Motability We are so grateful for this funding. It means so many more people can get to the places they want to go, and meet the people they want to see.
We’re thrilled to have received a grant from @Motability to expand our wheelchair-accessible car service to disabled people in rural North Norfolk! Our service is in high demand and this grant will mean even more journeys can be made.
It's #RandomActsOfKindnessDay but there’s steps we can take every day to be kind when travelling. Participants in our #Covid research, released last year, suggested:
❤️Be conscientious
❤️Remember not all disabilities are visible
❤️Offer seats
❤️Be patient
What would you add?
We have widespread evidence from charities and community groups of drivers who can no longer afford to volunteer at the current #AMAP rate. This situation is exacerbating existing and acute shortages of drivers in many communities. #ReviewAMAP
As disabled people, we face many barriers to transport.
To avoid these (and to minimise chances of getting stranded en route!) many of us plan journeys meticulously in advance.
