Afya House has become a hub of deceit and regression!

The Ministry of Health’s attempt to slash intern doctors' salaries from Ksh 206K to a disgraceful 70K is not just an insult but a direct attack on the rights and welfare of healthcare workers. This betrayal undermines the sacrifices made to secure fair pay and dignified working conditions for those who form the backbone of our healthcare system.

We issue an ultimatum until March 18, 2025 for the immediate posting and fair compensation of interns as per the operational CBA. Failure to comply will result in a nationwide strike, mass protests, and the withdrawal of medical services.

We refuse to allow the erosion of hard-won gains. Healthcare workers deserve respect, not exploitation!
