Stuff like this is why I will never go out of my way to do a single favor for the Monero community.

Yes, I love many individuals in the community, and will do plenty of favors for them. Yes, the tech works, and I will use it or recommend it as appropriate.

But the overall toxicity and backstabby-ness by engaging with the community as a whole is not something I want a part of, ever. And it has high costs.

THORChain did make a mistake by snubbing some chains early on, and by baking in leveraged features into the base protocol. But they're still an incredibly valuable and innovative project that deserves highlighting and using. And they'll be back.

Notice Dash and Zcash moved on gracefully from their THORChain snubs, and got into the Maya Protocol instead. Dash has years of awesome cross-chain DEX support (Zcash coming very soon), tons of integrations, and cool new use cases like INLEO.

Monero could have been ahead of everyone there, but the toxicity makes it too risky to deal with them for many: they'll bully you into trying an integration, and if you try to support another project or if you decide against integrating, they become your biggest trolls and detractors.

Ain't nobody got time for that!

I predict that at some point people will get tired of paying this cost and drive out all the toxic elements.

But today is not that day.
