Barton had a visit from some of @gmpolice mini police to have a look around the Helicopter this morning. Some great questions asked, clearly some detectives in the making not pilots 😉👮🏼‍♂️👮🏼‍♀️🚁

Did you know every day our aircraft is given an ‘engine rinse’ this is to flush out contaminants before they cause sulfidation or part degradation. We inject demineralized water or specialized cleaning solutions into the running engine followed by a hot-dry.

Today’s view and quote from the office is this one as we assisted @gmpolice with an illegal E bike being ridden dangerously. The quote from the rider to the officer ‘giving up as the helicopters up’ 😏🚁🚓 one bike seized and the rider dealt with for various offences.

Following a few weeks away from our Barton base, today we returned in NPAS22 (G-POLG) our new helipad is looking good!!

Did you know our aircraft carry @Tracker_UK equipment. As you can see below this will guide the aircraft into a stolen vehicle when activated. As proven yesterday assisting @gmpolice locate this stolen Land Rover within one orbit of us being on scene. #Teamwork #RightKitForTheJob

Overnight the Barton aircraft has assisted @gmpolice with several incidents. Some great results working with cops on the ground to get suspects arrested, stolen cars recovered and keep the public safe. A view from the office to sum up the shift @GMPDogs doing their magic!

Exciting news from HQ…. Start of the new fleet delivery is fast approaching!! Rumour has it the North West will be getting their hands on a couple to offer the public an even better service 😁😁😁

NPAS leaders visited @AirbusHeli production line in Germany as work continues on our next‑gen fleet.

The 1st two training aircraft are due at @Airbus UK end of Feb, with familiarisation training planned for early 2026.

View from the office, yesterday we assisted @MerseyPolice with #OpGears in the Kirby area. Drone team located a bike being ridden in an anti social manner. We might be loud, heard us coming on scene, the camera spotted your hiding spot. 2 bikes recovered, 4 detained #Teamwork

View from the office, Thursday the Barton crew whilst on their way back to base assisted @cheshirepolice @gmpolice with a stolen vehicle pursuit. Occupants decamped & attempted to hide… in steps our ‘Thermal camera’… two bins appear warm, we give this rubbish hiding spot 2/10!

When the region gets two taskings at the same time in two different force areas….. we deploy two aircraft 🚁🚁 G-EMID & G-POLG departing Barton base last night to assist @gmpolice and @LancsPolice minutes apart.

Over the next few weeks our eagle eyed followers may notice a slight change as the Barton base takes control of G-EMID from the fleet to cover for scheduled maintenance. Distinctive for its high skid design it enables us to keep online whilst our regular 🚁 has some TLC.

NPAS Barton save Christmas! Over night our Barton crew have officially declared it’s Christmas after assisting Rudolph back home after he got lost on a little trip around the Formby / Hightown area. He’ll now have a good rest before helping Santa and his sleigh on the 24th. 🎄🎅🏻
