Ep 15 #poker

[majin @NPC_RESPAWN]

@TrevorL415 Obviously a troll account, one of the many posing as a flat Earther, strawmanning the globe position, and making all other FE's look like idiots. bait for the bigotry of the globe zealots.

Rotation would still be MEASURABLE however, and that hasn't been done, so..

[majin @NPC_RESPAWN]

@KenRDKAB @reality_plane Are you under the impression that known refractive effects (sinking refraction, specifically) can leave foreground objects unaffected, while compressing background images? This method for proving/disproving curvature isn't sufficient, too many unknowns

[majin @NPC_RESPAWN]

@xyphophor @grok Every map has a specific purpose - no overarching map of the world exists, at least not a publicly available one, anyone who tells you it does is lying to you, so you can further lie to yourself

But I can sense the bigotry seeping through a little strong now, good luck cya

[majin @NPC_RESPAWN]

@xyphophor @grok Its like you brought into the propaganda that was sold to you by the flat Earth society, and are using that to test every metric against, and of course it fails

Of course their bullshit claims will

Meanwhile, actual observations, laser tests, understanding of optics etc... FLAT

[majin @NPC_RESPAWN]

@xyphophor Any data used is immediately going to be referencing WGS 84 anyway, so the data is self-confirming, and the argument is self-defeating and circular

[majin @NPC_RESPAWN]

@xyphophor You must fool a lot of people with your charade, this is a parlor trick, just like the rest of the shit you've been sending that has assumptions pissing out all of the cracks
Ignore reality as it presents if you want

[majin @NPC_RESPAWN]

@xyphophor Anything using the predictions of US Standard refraction are immediately unusable, time for some revision

You're not going to debunk a JTolan video with dip angle claims, there are no claims of a levelled camera in his presentations, he is measuring DROP OVER DISTANCE

[majin @NPC_RESPAWN]

@xyphophor There are assumptions baked into these that wouldn't do it for me, feel free to link the full studies

Meanwhile, there are hundreds of globe busting observations and laser tests, and a non-functioning model of refraction being used to explain them away

[majin @NPC_RESPAWN]

@xyphophor it's called barrel distortion

[majin @NPC_RESPAWN]

@xyphophor I don't have the hubris within me to tell you what the sun is, what medium it is being observed through, or whether it is even physical or not, none of this shit is able to be verified whether you like it or not

[majin @NPC_RESPAWN]

@xyphophor and US Standard refraction being used as a corrective band-aid is either ignorance, or laziness on your part - military laser tests destroy the rigid claims of terrestrial refraction as discussed here: https://t.co/yW6DUSc7No

[majin @NPC_RESPAWN]

@xyphophor Where did you get this 5000 mile high "sun lamp" for this strawman you are debunking? That's what you are predicting against? Total nonsense

If this is what you are hinging your world view on, do so at your own risk as far as I am concerned

[majin @NPC_RESPAWN]

@xyphophor Comparing models that ignore perspective and actual refractive effects - to photography that must necessarily have these effects baked in destroys the validity of your testing. Not to mention the tiny sample size of the comparisons

[majin @NPC_RESPAWN]

@KenRDKAB @reality_plane Straight to gaslighting?

The image you posted has a red dotted line across the center

Good luck to you

Rarity doesn't matter, it's a known phenomena
Good luck quantifying the rarity

Claiming drop over distance from a static image -
Levelling the camera is the most important step, you're comparing the distant objects to the midline of the camera...?
