I am deeply saddened to learn of Walter Koenig’s passing.
Although we did not know each other well away from the set, we shared the later seasons of the original Star Trek series and the six films that followed.
What I observed, and what so many fans have expressed over the years, was a man who genuinely loved the Star Trek community.
At conventions, Walter was rarely content to remain behind a signing table. He preferred to be among the people who had kept Star Trek alive for so many decades.
That kind of genuine connection is rare, and it will be remembered by everyone who came into contact with him.
My condolences to his family, his friends, and the countless fans whose lives he touched.
Rest in Peace Walter Koenig. Thank you for navigating us through the final frontier, and bringing us such joy through your years of activism, writing, and memorable characters like the joyous Chekov and the sinister Bester. We're forever grateful that you lent your talents to our game. We'll see you again, in the stars.
My mum passed away exactly four months before Walter Koenig. She always loved "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home", it's the #StarTrek film we watched most often together. I'm going to rewatch it tonight to cheer me up. I love Chekov's scenes in the film, they make me smile! 😊 Rest in Peace Walter Koenig!🖖
On this day in 1976 “Donny & Marie” premiered on ABC-TV. We did a total of 78 episodes. What a wonderful experience to share with my sister @marieosmond.
We cut @undeadpaulbales cameo right before #SHARKNADO 4 - because he was bracing for a long prison term. Luckily for him the Boy Scouts settled out of court.
Congratulations to Angela Bassett for winning the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Supporting Actress for Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever! #CriticsChoiceAwards
