@BeattieNPS Yes you should be very proud Sarah. I think it was a really good and instructive documentary and as my daughter said ‘I now understand what you do’! The icing on the cake was how dedicated, committed and balanced your staff were. I’ll also take Verity in London! No sea view mind!
It’s been a very long, hard week but this thread bought tears to my eyes. It makes me proud to be a probation officer and work for the NPS. The unheralded, complex work probation staff do every day....
Great thread about the experience of attending a Parole Board. And particularly fantastic to hear the positive impact made by the #Probation Officer during the hearing.
@NPSLDN_Director Reciprocated Aveen by going to the CRC SMT today. Talked about being a civil servant and the NPS journey. We compared and contrasted and ultimately we have the same committed staff and belief in change. Unification is an opportunity to take the best from services!
Just chaired the newly constituted Public Protection and Service Delivery Board. It was a positive start and I think it will focus the work we need to do in London on the right things at the right time to improve public protection and reduce re offending. 🤞👍
Celebrated Joe Rambarath’s retirement yesterday. SPO at Waltham Forest. 32 years service! I’ve had the pleasure managing him for the last six. Magnificent public servant and a very fine human being!
Just been on the first of my visits to management meetings across London. This afternoon it was HFWKC. Really committed and cohesive group of managers. It was a real pleasure to see how they work and we talked about how to make delivery plans meaningful for staff!👍
