2- Zero tolerance for child pornography and child sexual abuse material. If social media platforms fail to act decisively against such content, they should lose the legal protections and safe-harbour provisions available to them.

3- Why are algorithms such an opaque and confusing element? How do accounts like CJP end up getting greater reach than the combined reach of the country's principal political parties? Greater transparency and accountability over how algorithms amplify.

Delhi Police's probe into the Jantar Mantar violence is widening.

Several prominent influencers and YouTubers are now under the scanner. Three digital marketing/social media firms are also being scrutinised.

Investigators are examining posts, videos and livestreams for alleged inflammatory content, misinformation, rumour-mongering and possible incitement to violence.

After earlier flagging nearly 180 social media handles, legal action could be the next step.
