Northern Plains UAS Test Site

The Northern Plains UAS Test Site was founded by the ND Department of Commerce in 2013 as one of 7 FAA-designated UAS Test Sites.

NPUASTS, along with UND’s RIAS, conducted flight tests for UAS operations in shielded environments to help determine how quickly drones can maneuver to avoid collision. These tests pave the way for safer BVLOS operations.
