The exact same thing happened last time I moved into a property and I tried to move suppliers from British Gas to a better company. I wonder how many vulnerable people might have suffered because of a similar situation and paid it without knowing how to appeal it.

My patient had their assistance dog with them during their admission and she was just the sweetest 😍 obviously I made sure she had her own prescription chart with regular and PRN belly rubs, walkies and treats!!!

I've had my pin for exactly one year now 😱 I mean, where has that time gone?!
This time last year I was a nervous wreck and yesterday I was nurse in charge of the ward - just goes to show the difference a year can make!!

Took bloods on my own for the first time today (it's taken me a while to gain the confidence to do it on my own) and I got them first time. I told my patient and they got me a box of chocolates to say well done 😭😊

Bed manager: why have you refused to accept a patient?

Staff are stressed, missing breaks and staying late to get everything done. No extra pay though, no time owing given either. There's rarely an agency nurse to cover absence either, so we don't always have enough staff. I don't know how much longer we can go on working like this.

6 theatre patients to get in to the ward today - there are currently 18 patients on the ward (2 patients in the corridor because its a 16-bedded ward), and there's 1 discharge.

The ward has no extra staff to deal with any extra patients, we are just expected to get on with it and still complete everything that needs doing. We barely had enough time in the day without extra patients, let alone now.
