We are all supposed to be working as a team, and since when did age ever contribute to knowledge, compassion and empathy?
So please, stop speaking negatively about other people, especially younger NQN’s.
After having multiple colleagues speaking behind my back about how I should not be ‘stressed’ due to having ‘no commitments’ (in terms of kids, marriage, house etc.) I’d like to clarify that I worked my ass off to complete my degree at 18y/o and having said ‘commitments’ -
- does not make you any more entitled to ‘stress’ (as if anyone would like to be a high achiever in that area??) in this line of work.
It’s more so a message to not penalise younger RN’s purely because of their age, as I am seeing it more and more and often in the NHS.
Thousands of nurses are on strike today. Why?
📉 Real pay down £5,000 since 2010
⚡ 1 in 3 have difficulty affording food and heating their homes
👩⚕️ 50,000 nurse shortfall in England
🏥 1 in 9 nurses left the NHS in 2021
RT if you support our nurses 👊
@wiktoria_golex You are kidding me?! that’s genuinely disgusting 😳 you’ve worked your ASS off to get where you are. I hope they sort their shit out so you can be the person you’ve worked hard to be x
the amount of times I’ve been ignored by other nurses when asking about my patients because they think I’m a doctor because I’m a male in scrubs is hilarious 😅
As of today, I’ve officially done my first month as a Registered Nurse and…wow! It has been information overload but I’m starting to finally become more comfortable in this new chapter of my life😮💨♥️
@robbradley01 It was okay, was quick. I was told it was MAU at my interview, however the JR sister informed me that due to covid and shuffling of wards, it was a mix between MAU, orthopaedic & surgical outliars! And it’ll be changing again over the next few months 😬
