NRHS Softball Finds Its Footing — Now Rolling at 4–1
The NRHS softball team didn’t get the start they wanted, opening the season with a tough loss to Pentucket. Instead of letting that set the tone, they treated it like a hurdle, one they stepped over quickly.

Since then, the Hornets have locked in and gone 4–1, stacking wins over Newburyport, Ipswich, Triton, and Manchester‑Essex. The pitching has settled, the defense has tightened, and the bats have started to come alive. It’s been steady, game‑by‑game progress, the kind of response that shows this group’s resilience.

A slow start didn’t define them. Their response did.
