This is the finest piece I have ever written for @NRO. It has nothing to do with politics whatsoever. Instead it is a tribute to the indescribable power of the written word - to move, and to command the conscience.

If you followed the Trump administration's jihad against Anthropic over restrictive terms of use for Claude, then you're not going to buy its Ukraine blame-shifting to Musk -- as if Starshield terms of use are none of the administration's business ... https://t.co/ZI4cukpTal

.@RichLowry: We have entered a mass hysteria over the Cornell Seven case and these screaming protests are proof.

"Progress came and took its toll" is how country music star John Anderson, who died yesterday, begins the second verse of 'Seminole Wind'.

A brief reflection on Anderson's conservative disposition — and what it means to me. @NRO

On The McCarthy Report, @AndrewCMcCarthy and @RichLowry discuss the violence in France and its connection to leftist and Islamist Red-Green coalitions.

Reuters was the first to report that the Starshield restrictions were ordered from the White House, matching up with Musk’s own assertion that the relevant decisions are made by the Defense Department and, ultimately, the president. | @AndrewCMcCarthy

The Ukrainian Air Force has “about 50” F-16 fighter jets. At the end of September, the commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Lieutenant General Anatoliy Kryvonozhko, said that Ukrainian pilots had managed to neutralize approximately 2,500 enemy drones of various types, plus 666 cruise missiles. (Boy, that number seems appropriate for such a downright demonic act, doesn’t it?)

Nobody ever made much money betting that Trump would stop iterating on his own bad instincts.

But if things keep going this way for him politically and geopolitically, it may not be up to him. | @foster_type
