The Non-Religious Pastoral Support Network offers like-minded institutional care to non-religious people across the UK through a network of trained carers.
Our Director is in Antwerp this weekend learning from all the other organisations delivering non-religious pastoral, existential, or chaplaincy care in Europe. We have a lot we can collaborate on to make sure we’re all up to the task of meeting the needs of non-religious people.
How long has non-religious pastoral support existed? Sometimes we are accused of being 'woke', or a fad.
Non-religious individuals have been trying to make chaplaincy more inclusive and equal for hundreds of years, and here's an example from The Literary Guide from 1943:
Wonderful to hear stories of non-religious individuals wanting to help make chaplaincy more inclusive and diverse. @LeoIgwe is a trailblazer.

Happy anniversary @lindsayvandijk!
Our practitioners make an immeasurable difference to those they support, but being a practitioner is in itself a transformative experience.
We're broadening how we support professionals to get into this field, train with us or @NSPCinfo and discover how incredible this work is.

The awesome @lindsayvandijk is our keynote speaker today at #ENHCC. As a humanist chaplain she described joining a chaplaincy team was like being a vegetarian in a meat eating world…
She leads a diverse faith and non religious belief hospital chaplaincy team in the NHS
@NRPSN
Often people who are non-religious or humanist are lumped together in the latter part of "all faiths and none" as though we have a void where others have religious beliefs.
In fact, the diversity and richness of belief is just as fascinating as with our religious friends.
📢📚🙌 Special announcement... A new book of inspiring interviews with over 30 humanists in the public eye set for release in November. It’s called 'What I Believe' & this is its beautiful cover! https://t.co/OVNvd8g8SZ
