Since 1991, the US and her allies have spent over $55 billion US dollars on Somalia, in the faint hope that a state could revived. That is mission impossible, as three decades later, you have a regime confined to only one city with 20 000 African Union troops keeping in place.

It’s time to abandon this burden on the shoulders of mankind abd let it die a natural death. At least it can serve the usual purpose of being a real contemporary example of state extinction. Academics would have something to work.
