Pastor Mbonigaba’s wife laid to rest, remembered for exemplary Christian life
Thousands of members of the faithful community, family members and friends, on Tuesday, June 2, paid their last respects to Angelique Nyabeyi, wife of Pastor Dieudonne Mbonigaba, Associate pastor at Remera church of the #Nazarene and President of Nazarene Youth International in Rwanda.
The heartbreaking news of his wife’s passing was announced in the early hours of Tuesday, May 26, after doctors at Kanombe Hospital confirmed her death.
According to Pastor Mbonigaba, #Nyabeyi had not shown any sign of illness, making the news even more devastating to family and friends. He explained that on the night of her passing, at around midnight, he noticed something unusual and immediately checked on her to see whether she was well. However, she could not respond.
He quickly called for help from family members and neighbours. And although they rushed her to the hospital for urgent medical attention, doctors could not save her because she was no longer breathing upon arrival.....

The Church of the Nazarene on Thursday, March 19, 2026, held a significant ordination ceremony in Kigali, setting apart 18 elders and deacons from Rwanda, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Congo Brazzaville for ministry.
Presided over by General Superintendent Dr. T. Daniels Scott, and attended by Regional Director Dr. Danny Gomis and Field Strategy Coordinator Dr. Stanley Ushe, the ceremony marked a powerful moment of faith, commitment, and dedication to God’s service.

Eighteen men and women have publicly reaffirmed their commitment to serve the church of @Nazarene with faithfulness in prayer, loyalty to the church, dedication to the study of Holy Scripture and lifestyle that reflects the teachings of Jesus Christ.
They also pledged to pursue a life of holiness, faithfully proclaim the message of holiness, and invite others to come to Christ.
These servants made declarations on Thursday, March 19, 2026 in Kigali during a colorful ordination service held at Remera Church of the Nazarene. The ceremony was presided over by the General Superintendent Dr. T. Daniels Scott.
The event was also attended by Regional Director Dr. Danny Gomis and Field Strategy coordinator Dr. Stanley Ushe, various church leaders, lay Christians as well as family and friends of the ordinands.
A total of 16 elders and two deacons were ordained, representing districts from Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of Congo (North-Kivu) and Congo Brazzaville.
