@Ally_Sammarco You thought this snappy (😉) snark & sarcasm, but instead are unintentionally spot on. Elon's wealth has not harmed me one iota but the amount I've been taxed to pay for SNAP & similar programs has siphoned thousands from me over the years with no benefit, return or progress.
One of the darkest aspects of this is that these girls came from the lower classes, the north, the working class, the industrial towns and cities. Their grandparents and ancestors were coal miners, factory workers, soldiers, servants to the upper classes. To show their thanks to generations of loyal Brits who did backbreaking toil for their country and the crown, their daughters were given as sex slaves to foreign invaders. A genocide of native people. The crimes of the complicit modern UK government put it up there with Ceausescu’s Romania and Pol Pot.
250 thousand white girls raped and trafficked by Muslim immigrant pedophiles in the UK. Industrial scale sexual abuse and torture inflicted on the native inhabitants by barbaric foreign gangs who were welcomed into the country by the government. One of the worst scandals in the history of the western world. It really is that bad. Anyone who ignores this story is forever discredited going forward. Watch especially for the people on “our side” who look the other way.
The real net effect of Scientific Materialism is to make you fear death as oblivion. If death is oblivion then you would rather live as a slave than die
If you do not fear death you cannot be enslaved. This is how Christianity conquered the Roman Empire without violence
Freddie's X posts these last 2 weeks or so brought back the sheer joy of life I remember experiencing as a teen and in my early 20s. Literally took 40 years off my life and juiced the love I have for this country.
Horrible beyond belief--almost could not make it through the report. Can't help remembering that in 1996 Bill & Hillary Clinton's best bud & pit bull sneered with his “Drag a hundred-dollar bill through a trailer park, you never know what you’ll find.” Is it any surprise then that the so-called elites intentionally turned a blind eye? Both the evil grooming gangs & the evil elite devalue & are willing to sacrifice those they disdain.
The UK rape gang inquiry report just dropped and it should make your blood boil:
1. At least 250,000 young White girls were groomed, raped, trafficked, and tortured.
2. Perpetrators followed consistent tactics of befriending vulnerable girls as young as 11 with gifts, drugs, and alcohol before subjecting them to group rapes, violence, blackmail, pregnancies, forced conversions, and trafficking.
3. UK institutions—including police, social services, schools, NHS, and politicians—catastrophically failed victims through denial, ignored reports, criminalization of victims, destruction of evidence, and prioritization of political correctness and fears of “racism” accusations over child protection.
4. 87–95% of convicted perpetrators in group-based child sexual exploitation cases were Muslim. It was predominantly Muslim Pakistani gangs. They operated across 149 local authority districts. Groups from Somali,
Iranian, Syrian, Turkish, and other Muslim origins were also involved.
5. The Muslim perpetrators operated under an honour- and
shame-based clan code that treated non-Muslim girls, especially White working class girls, as property available for sexual use. Girls were told that they’re “White trash” who deserved punishment.
People need to go to prison for this.
@hankgreen Realized or unrealized? Are you ready for the screech halt to economy & innovation when investors find alternative, lower tax rate options here & broad. Dumb idea. Better to lower or eliminate taxes on ordinary income & bring gov spending & infrastructure to necessary hard stop.
A small public service announcement from the Department of Things That You Should Know…
It has not “peeked” your interest.
Nor has it “peaked” your interest.
…It has piqued your interest.
You are not “phased” by something.
You are fazed by it.
If you’ve had a long day, you are weary.
If you suspect someone is an idiot, you are wary.
It is “due course”, not “do course”.
“Per se”, not “per say”.
And while we’re here, it’s “could have”, not “could of”, but that particular battle may already be lost.
Thank you for your attention during this brief outbreak of grammatical housekeeping.
This has been a @LairdofthManor announcement.🎩💙

Healthcare does not suffer from market failure.
It suffers from market prohibition.
No visible price.
No open exchange.
No meaningful competition.
No direct relationship between buyer and seller.
Then Washington looks at the wreckage and says:
“See? Markets don’t work.”

Has anyone yet written the complete history of how Pride went from a vibrant counterculture to a civil rights movement to a sort of unofficial corporate-sponsored state religion whose observance is subsidized by taxpayer dollars and sometimes compelled by law
In 1968, while teenage Red Guards beat their professors to death with clubs in Beijing courtyards, Jean-Paul Sartre sat in Paris calling Mao's Cultural Revolution a model of revolutionary democracy. The most celebrated intellectual in France looked at a country burning its own libraries and saw liberation. He sold the Maoist newspaper La Cause du Peuple on French street corners himself, holding it aloft like a sacrament.
Consider what he was endorsing. Between 1966 and 1976, the Cultural Revolution killed somewhere between 500,000 and two million people. Schools shut down across the entire country. Students dragged teachers onto stages, hung placards around their necks, forced them to kneel on broken glass, then murdered them. The historian Bian Zhongyun, vice-principal of a girls' school in Beijing, died on August 5, 1966, beaten by her own students with nail-studded clubs. Sartre called this the people governing themselves.
You should understand why a man this intelligent got it this wrong. Sartre believed knowledge served power, that truth was whatever the revolution required, that the individual existed to be dissolved into the collective will. So when Mao abolished the distinction between teacher and student, between expert and mob, Sartre cheered. He had spent decades arguing that bourgeois reason was a class weapon. Here was a regime taking him at his word and clubbing the reasoners to death.
This is what economic illiteracy buys you. A university, a price, a contract, and a peasant's grain stockpile all carry knowledge that no central planner can seize or replicate. Mises explained the calculation problem in 1920. Hayek explained dispersed knowledge in 1945. Sartre had access to both and chose the dunce cap of the collective instead, then handed out its propaganda on the Rue de Rennes.
He died in 1980, mourned by 50,000 followers, never having retracted a word about Mao. The professors of Beijing got no such funeral. They got a ditch, and a philosopher in Paris explaining that their murder was freedom.
Communist regimes killed ~100 million people in the 20th century.
And they forced nearly half of the world population to live under the most brutal poverty and subjugation.
Yet academics have been loth to explicitly oppose communism. What gives?
