This is the bulk of the issue:

My Son has been suspended for "Transphobic behaviour" which originated with him stating to a girl (who now identifies as a boy) that "if you are born a girl, you are a girl" and then a couple of days later refusing to use her "boys" name and used her birth/girl name. Due to these incidents, he was placed in "Reflection" (internal exclusion) which he refused to do as he states he did nothing wrong as the girl in question is, in fact, a girl. On the basis of his refusal to do reflection, they suspended for him two days. We informed the school that are looking at seeking legal advice as we don't think its right that he should be punished for stating biological fact and the school are basically forcing him to accept something that isn't true. We argued that there is no law that compels our Son to use pronouns and/or recognise this girl as a boy and as such, they have ignored his legally protected rights regarding biological reality. We have emails and entries in the Class Charts app (a school application) that can be provided if needed. Just to add, our Son is currently awaiting the finalisation of his EHCP as he is classed as neurodivergent and on of the key issues is his ability to comprehend what is being said to him (we have two child psychologist reports which (in layman terms) he struggles with language and comprehension. Please advise on how to approach this (legally if need be) so that the school will not continue to punish him for asserting his belief.
