@josesolismayen I've heard Women & Performance (it's moved toward intersectional, feminist, and queer work in recent years) and Etudes are particularly supportive of early career scholars.
Journal of Dramatic Theory and Criticism might be a good fit.
@josesolismayen My knowledge is limited to theatre academia, but my first two publications while I was in grad school were in Texas Theatre Journal and Theatre Topics. I recently worked with Journal of Consent Based Performance--very generous feedback and transparent process.
@drkellyallen When I started grad school in 2016 I met thoughts of imposter syndrome with "wow! I get to work with and learn from all these people who are way smarter than me!" By the time I defended my diss. on trans-queer performance, it changed, became more critical, more political.
@voxjohsu Sending solidarity from Ohio--had half a dozen similar bills this session. My question every time has been... how am I supposed to "maintain political, social, and cultural neutrality" as a visibly trans instructor when my own humanity is a hotly debated "culture war" issue?
